rajncajn
New Orleans doesn't actually have any true retired numbers, but here is a more accurate list. * 31 Jim Taylor (officially retired, but is assigned to active players) * 81 Doug Atkins (officially retired, but is assigned to active players) * 51 Sam Mills (officially retired, but is assigned to active players) * 57 Rickey Jackson (officially retired, but is assigned to active players)
i_am_the_swammi
Oakland None Washington Sammy Baugh 33 0 for the Raiders, and just 1 for the Skins?? ETA: And how on earth do the 49ers have Dwight Clark's number retired, but not Rice's? be kinda funny if a punter wore Favre's number for a year or two until they retired it Edited April 29, 2010 by i_am_the_swammi
Furd
Detroit Joe Schmidt 56 The Lions "unretired" 56 when they signed that stiff, Pat Swilling. They must have re-retired it.
buddahj
0 for the Raiders, and just 1 for the Skins?? ETA: And how on earth do the 49ers have Dwight Clark's number retired, but not Rice's? +1 I was thinking the same thing. It's hard to believe that the Raiders don't have any. They have had some pretty good players over the years.

MikesVikes
I was looking at this yesterday. Detroit's Chuck Hughes is the last guy to die during a football game.

cjray
I'm impressed that Reggie White #92 was retired on two teams, both Green Bay and Philadelphia. Wow.
The Wolf
Amazing that the Steelers and Cowboys (11 Super Bowl titles between them) have ZERO retired numbers, while teams like the Cardinals have 5...

Chavez
I'm impressed that Reggie White #92 was retired on two teams, both Green Bay and Philadelphia. Wow. Packer policy is they will NOT retire another number aside from Canadeo, Hutson, Starr, and Nitschke; at the ceremony, they retired Reggie White's "jersey", w-ever-tf that means. I'd also assume that if/when Favre ever quits playing, #4 will be retired as well.
