The Bears are losing on purpose

I'm not watching the game, so I have a question...

Why did Orton start? Wouldn't you think the Bears would want to give Grossman a little bit of playing time before the playoffs start? It's not like he's had a ton of PT for a long time.  :D

I agree with you, at least put Grossman in for a couple of series if you are going to use him for the playoffs.

I'd generally agree, but since Grossman appears as durable as fine china, I can see where they're coming from.

I assume all the Bears 2nd and 3rd stringers on D are in there the way the Vikings are dominating them...

Yes, the same players that are also playing special teams in their spare time. They were showing Bears players dragging their arses on the field in the 3rd qtr.

Haven't looked. Is all this scoring by the Vikings ruining any type of defensive records for the Bears?

Didn't they have a shot at lowest opposing team points allowed in a season? Pretty safe to say they didn't achieve that now.

They had to allow less than 18 points, so that is out the window.

That was only to be better than the 85 Bears. The Ravens record disappeared out the window last week.

Just got back from the game, I agree the Bears were trying to trick Zygi into hanging on to Tice. :D

Hope it works. :D

Didn't work...Tice is gone!!!

Just as good for the Bears. With all three rivals floundering around and a very young team, the Bears could dominate the NFC North for the next 5 years if they don't screw up.

I agree with that statement. Although I think the Bears offense has yet to turn the corner. Grossman needs work and unfortunately, injuries have prevented him from doing so. I wonder what he would be like with two years experience under his belt.
