DMD
He fell in the draft because of his hammy and some concerns about his weight but he is healthy now and this is a guy who scored 52 touchdowns on arguably the best college team over the last three years. Chris Brown? Yeah, I'd be worried if I was him. NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans rookie running back LenDale White said the hamstring injury that has bothered him since the spring has healed, and he is now working on conditioning. "It feels a lot better getting in there with the team and coming along," said White, who participated in team drills for a second consecutive minicamp practice Tuesday. "It definitely feels good to finally be running the football, instead of rehabbing all day." Tennessee picked the Southern California standout in the second round of the NFL draft last April. White dropped out of the first round in large part because of the injury. Titans coach Jeff Fisher said he likes what he's seen so far from White, who will compete with veterans Chris Brown and Travis Henry for playing time. "It was good to see him out there," Fisher said. "I think we see a little more each day." White, who has lost 11 pounds since playing in the Rose Bowl at 250 pounds, has a personal trainer who will help get him in shape for camp. "I'll work out for the whole month, and hopefully come back and win a spot and get ready to play football games," White said.

Swiss Cheezhead
He could easily end up being the best redraft rookie.
Big Score 1
I think his hammy is the next Isaac Bruce circa 1997 - 1998

Avernus
before the draft, he was my choice for ROY....but then that fell apart with all the crap that happened and then he went to the Titans who have about 9 or 10 RB's....
DMD
I think one thing says it all. Jeff Fisher used the names "LenDale White" and "Eddie George" in the same sentence. Granted - offense is rebuilding at best, but the Titans were giddy about landing White.
Bronco Billy
Holy crap! Another USC RB that is ready for the HoF before he ever plays a down in the NFL. The hammy isn't his problem. His attitude & work ethic is. We're starting to see a worrisome pattern from USC football players - they think they are above the rules & laws and can do what they damn well please. Frostee Rucker is the latest star from USC regarding this. In White's case, it cost him significant money as his draft position slipped significantly once the NFL saw that his work ethic was terrible & he cared so little about his future occupation - the one that will be paying him big money - that he made little to no effort to prepare for the combine. Before his workouts, he was being mentioned as a late 1st round pick. White is a one dimensional RB who won't be overmatching pro players the way that the putrid PAC 10 Ds were overmatched by he & the rest of USC's team. If he doesn't have his head on straight and he doesn't feel the need to make an effort to prepare to become & remain an NFL player, he could very quickly work himself down the depth chart. I think he's the second most likely of the top 5 RBs to become a bust, and quite frankly while I see some things I like out of his play, I'm worried about his head. Swiss Cheezhead
White is a one dimensional RB I understand the rest of your point, but he's not "one-dimensional." He's extremely quick (if not fast) and he can "create" rushing yards when they don't appear to be there. There were plenty of times at USC when he had to sidestep somebody and take off laterally and more times when the hole totally closed up and he had to turn an inside run into a sweep down the sideline. He's a gifted multi-dimensional runner whose attitude/work ethic might be an obstacle between him and his great potential.
blaw23
I still think Brown will start the season as the No. 1 but then when his injury comes it will be Lendale to take the carries and not Henry who will be relegated to the No. 2 spot. LenDale once he gets the job probably won't give it back to Brown, but I don't know if he will be Eddie George. That is some pretty high praise for a guy that has not played 1 minute of a NFL game and was not even the No. 1 back on his college team. Shanny compared Portis to TD before he played a down in the NFL... I know the comparison probably doesn't deserve merit....but when he mentions the last successful back he had who also will be a HoF'er....I'll at least listen...maybe even take a flier
Clubfoothead
There's the usual concerns with White as there is with any college RB and then there's there's the attitude problem. I like White and think he's probably in a good place with Fisher and Norm to guide him along. If he's got his head straight with ball I don't see anything to dislike about him as a player. Of course if he doesn't get squared away between the ears the talent debate is moot.
Caveman_Nick
Maybe they'll do the smart thing and convert Chris Brown to a WR. he has great open field moves and is very fast. A little lanky to be an RB, though.

Caveman_Nick
H-Back?... Some offensive skill position that uses his skills, but minimized his contact with defensive linemen. He might make the league's best slot receiver.

A little lanky to be an RB, though. That's actually a good point. I understood his lack of bulk coming out of college, but he hasn't gained much weight in 3 NFL years. In fact, Brown and T.O. are the same height -- and T.O. outweighs him by 6 pounds. As ripped as T.O. is, I don't think he'd hold up much longer than Brown if he were running into D-linemen and linebackers 15 times a game. Randall
He didn't look too good on the field, jogging, but said he will use a personal trainer to get ready. Somehow I just feel he is a little lazy.

muck
Chris Brown as a WR? ...hmmmmmm... THAT would be an interesting coach/player conversation to hear... FISHER: "Hey, Chris, c'mere for a minute." BROWN: "Sure, coach. What's up?" FISHER: "You know our WRs suck eggs since Mason left ... everyone is hurt all the time. Anyhow, I was noticing how similar your running motion and your physique is to TO's, and was curious if you'd have any interest in trying your hand at playing "dominating WR" instead of "routinely banged up RB"? What do you think?" BROWN: "Wow, coach. I don't know. I've always been a running back. I'm glad to think I can catch the ball well enough that I could help the team doing that full time. I just don't know. I prolly should talk to my agent." FISHER: "Sure. Do what you need to do, but that is something I think we should experiment with behind closed doors, away from the media, this preseason. Heck, with what Coach Chow can do, you could really be an interesting matchup for opposing defenses." BROWN: "Hmmmm... Well, I'll talk to _________ (insert agent name here) and let you know what I think tomorrow. Aw-rite?" .............. Or, maybe Brown just says, "Coach, you can shove that up your A$$. I'm not playing WR. I'm a RB. If you don't like it, you can cut me or bench me. I'm NOT playing receiver."
