BeeR
he did leave the team better than when he showed up without a doubt. ...which isn't exactly saying much Poor Grimace.
Buffalo Wings
I thought that they already had Steve Mariucci lined up.
Dr. Rock
Cards have already announced who they want to talk to: - Mike Sherman, former GB HC and current HOU asst HC - Ron Rivera, CHI DC - Norm Chow, TEN OC - Jim Caldwell, IND QB coach/asst HC - Russ Grimm, PIT OL coach/asst HC - Ken Whisenhut, PIT OC I bet Matt Leinart's salivating at the idea of reuniting with Norm Chow.. only problem is, what does Norm Chow know about fixing a defense? Are they allowed to do that? Or is it just that they can't actually contact coaches who still have teams in the playoffs? Big John
Are they allowed to do that? Or is it just that they can't actually contact coaches who still have teams in the playoffs? They can't talk to coaches whose teams are still in the playoffs with that team's permisson (and the permission is generally not granted). Chavez
They can't talk to coaches whose teams are still in the playoffs with that team's permisson (and the permission is generally not granted). So that only eliminates Rivera and Caldwell. And Caldwell should be available within 2 weeks.

Mike Sherman?? Even the Cardinals don't deserve him! Chow would be a good idea if he can bring in a decent D staff.

CaP'N GRuNGe
Haven't followed the Cards that closely this year. Earlier in the year this move seemed inevitable with his meltdown, but they seemed to be playing better ball towards the end here. It's still a very young team with Leinart at the helm. I don't know, but my gut tells me this was a mistake by the Cardinals. They would have been a better team with some continuity next year. Now they get to start all over again, and that's RARELY a good thing for a team. (See New Orleans this year as a major exception.)

broncosn05
What does Martz have to do with the Colts? High powered offense. Lacking defense.
N.I.B.
Bob Stoops could throw his hat in the ring after tonight. OU would probably pay the Cardinals to take him. Actually, Jim Mora Jr. may be a better choice......Arizona is closer to the University of Washington.
