Mojo20
I'm not really a Colts fan but what a kick in the nuts ( ) that would be.
Bill Swerski
If it's valued at $75,000, why is he only selling it for $48,000? Isn't there some ultra-rich Colts fan in Indiana who would be willing to pay full price?

Gonkis
No surprise, he spelled Motorcycle wrong in his ad and didn't realize he was going to get hit by taxes until a couple months before tax day... ... and these are people raising our future generation. Isn't there some ultra-rich Colts fan in Indiana who would be willing to pay full price? My guess is that he needs to pay the taxes on it and needs to pay them soon. While it might be valued at $75k, my guess is the actual worth is much less then that. Plus, why pay full price when you can have one made exactly for you for the same price. It's not like custom motorcycle shops are impossible to find anymore. The whole thing about having to sell the prize because you can't afford the taxes isn't anything new. HGTV gives away a dream home every year and it usually gets sold immediately because people can't pay the taxes. I beleive last year's house was worth $2m+ which would put property and income taxes in excess of $700k. When Oprah gave away a new Pontiac G6 to everyone in her studio audience, a lot of people were screwed over because they had to pay up to $7k in income taxes on the $28k vehicle. justin
My guess is that he needs to pay the taxes on it and needs to pay them soon. Due date on tax payment is April 16 this year. Although if he actually won the bike after Dec 31, 2006, then he wouldn't have to pay taxes on it until April 15, 2008.
