Missoula Griz
As of early Thursday afternoon, all three major gauges have fallen over 10 percent from the 2007 highs hit in mid July, the formal definition of a market correction.
Perchoutofwater
This is working out good for me. Our company just paid out the yearly distributions, so I'll be able to invest it while the market is down.

Be specific with your stock picks, not general in taking index funds that likely will go down further before slowly heading back up..... Sugar Magnolia
I made 22.4% on NFI.... The PE ratios are lower than they've been in maybe over a decade-this is the time to be investing in the market.

sundaynfl
This was a huge comeback today with stocks getting hammered and the SP finishing on the upside! The DOW was down 343 and finished down ~ 15... I think stocks... especially tech stocks will continue to rally tomorrow after HP reports! muck
Short cover occurred right after the DJIA was down 10% from its high. I'm not convinced there won't be some more credit-market related wierdness that falls on the equity market. Therefore, I'm not convinced that (i) the volatility is over and (ii) the market will do nothing but go up.

Muck, send me a pm when it's the perfect time for me to drop a load in a stock market index fund. I'll return the favor by not being a condescending priick to you and anyone you choose for 6 months.
