1. they are going to call no matter what.

 

2. we want to be rude but we dont want to be mean.

 

3. they get paid by the minute.

 

4. simply express initial interest so they go into their shtick.

 

5. set the receiver down and walk away.

 

6. they get paid and you dont get bothered.

 

7. if enough people do this, the stupid company will catch on and quit paying telemaketers.

there are times i get bombarded with calls at the store....sometimes i will say i am very interested and then ask them to hold, go back to them after a couple of minutes say sorry continue...then do the same thing a few times....probably falls under the mean category

Speak in strange language , have someone scream in background ( also in strange language ) and dont stop not even for a second for approximately one minute straight ...good work out for the lungs as well

Get rid of your land line.

 

Once we all got our own cell phones, the only calls we got on the land line were telemarketers or wrong numbers.
