twiley
Yeah, we felt it here in St. Louis. It actually woke us up. I thought it was the cat beating on the door at first then I realized what was going on.

Egret
Supposedly it reached out my way, but I didn't feel a thing.
wiegie
I just got an e-mail from my dad saying that he felt it pretty good (he was probably about 70 miles west of the epicenter). He said the house rumbled pretty good but that nothing fell over.
The Irish Doggy
Yep, the mrs and I woke up for it. Just the bed shaking a little bit. No biggie.
muck
My assistant here in KC said that it woke her husband up. She slept through it. Muckette and I knew nothing of it until we saw the news.

wiegie
the most recent aftershock was a (preliminary) 4.5. Not much by California standards, but still pretty good by midwestern standards.

Yeah, the one bad thing we have going for us is that most of the area is covered in limestone and that is apparently a better conductor to "feel" the quakes. Kind of wishing we had the soft absorbent ground similar to the West Coast right now.
Seattle LawDawg
Yeah, we felt it here in St. Louis. It actually woke us up. I thought it was the cat beating on the door at first then I realized what was going on. In 99 or so, we felt one in Seattle...I was doing situps in my apartment and was convinced that the fat lady downstairs was doing aerobics. In 2001, I was walking out of the law school when the Nisqually earthquake hit. The front of the building was all glass and I didn't even think about it as I walked out the door. At that one, we could actually see the street and telephone poles rolling. I walked across the street to Subway where they refused to make me a sammich (too busy clammering on about the end of the world and all) so I walked behind the counter and made it myself. We've had 600 earthquakes off the Oregon coast in about the last 10 days. I guess some people have felt a couple of them, but I haven't. Seattle LawDawg
The Rapture is near my friend...we be going to the promise land soon! Just watch out for the zombies. Everyone knows there the real danger when the world as we know it ends. Frickin zombies.
twiley
The earthquake thing gives me the perfect reason not to work today. Then again, the wind shifts direction sometimes and I don't feel like working.

Seattle LawDawg
Got it covered. Do you have yours? Oh, I'm probably covered. I'm not sure #7 1/2 is the preferred shot load for zombies anyway. That is cool though and I do want one.

Good point, what would you recommend? I'm looking for maximum carnage. Maybe buckshot? Triple-ought? Thanks in advance.
