splotchman
Mort reporting Warner to be named starting Arizona QB - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3551359 Bump up Fitz and hopefully Boldin to if he does not bolt...
Savage Beatings
Wow... I'm not sure if that's more of an indictment against Leinart or just an acknowledgement of Warner's abilities. Eitehr way, what does this mean for the future of the Cardinals at QB?
Puddy
It means Leinart was a college system quarterback. A rich mans Danny Wuerffel.

Capt. Stanky
Sweet! I drafted Leinert and Warner in a 2 QB Money league as my 3rd QB in the hopes this would happen. My team just got a whole lot better in my mind.
piratesownninjas
It means Leinart was a college system quarterback. A rich mans Danny Wuerffel. I don't think he was a system quarterback, I think he lacks the focus and drive to perform at this level... I also blame hot tubs.
tazinib1
Its about time. It amazes me how little respect Warner gets in this league. Wait...is Brenda reading this?
Jimmy Neutron
That's good news. Now if Kurt could just learn to hold onto the ball.... Edited August 24, 2008 by Jimmy Neutron

Randall
Someone (who will not be named) paid $20 for him as a RFA. Now perhaps it will pay off. Leinart=Aaron Rodgers. Time for Warner to get better and win the job outright next year.

MrTed46
Leinart=Aaron Rodgers. I hope you are correct. I am heavily invested in GB QB backups (along with Leinart and $20 Warner) Edited August 24, 2008 by MrTed46
piratesownninjas
I hope you are correct. I am heavily invested in GB QB backups (along with Leinart and $20 Warner) I think Randall was talking about Rodgers spending time on the bench behind Favre. I think Rodgers will do just fine the the system. Even if he was to fail, you're not going to get anything out of Brohm or Flynn for years. Randall
What a moran... $20 for Warner how much cash do you get yearly $1,000? I'll PM him and ask. Yeah what I meant is he needs to go to QB school as Rodgers did. AR wasn't very good at first either. In fact he was pretty bad.

BeeR
About time. My only real worry w/Warner is being able to stay healthy. Hate to take him as QB2 and he goes down, forcing a FA pickup of Troy Smith or some such.
jjpro11
should i pick him up? right now i have big ben and marc bulger. i was thinking about dropping LJ smith as i have owen daniels. im in a league that heavily favors qbs. i might be able to pawn him off to an owner who loses a qb. abishagenaden
I don't think he was a system quarterback, I think he lacks the focus and drive to perform at this level... I also blame hot tubs. He wasn't purely a system quarterback, but having all the weapons that he did have (Bush, Lendale, Jarrett) at the time did make him look better than he is/was. The same argument can also be made for Palmer, Leinart's predecessor, who was also surrounded with weapons (Mike Williams et al), but the difference is obvious. They run a pro set offense at USC under Pete Carroll. He should have had an easier time adjusting to the NFL game. He has the weapons (Edge, Fitz, & Boldin), so that is not a good excuse. Methinks he's just another high round bust for the Cards.
