The Legend lives on...

The legend lives on from Big Country on down

Of the website they call The Huddle

The forums, it is said, never give up their dead

When the viruses of October turn gloomy.

With a load of members - 20,000 names more

Than the Huddle forums had empty

That good site it’s true was a bone to be chewed

When the viruses of October came early

The ship was the pride of the fantasy football sites

Coming back from WCOFF in Las Vegas.

As fantasy websites go it was bigger than most

With DMD and WW both well seasoned.

Concluding some terms with a couple of ad firms

When they left fully loaded for the season

And later that night when the anti-virus software rang

Could it be the mal-ware they'd been feeling.

The beeps on the screen made a tattletale sound

And some coding broke through the firewall

And every member knew, as WW surely did, too,

T'was the virus of October come stealing.

The dawn came late and people’s work had to wait

When the virus of October came slashing

By afternoon it seemed, it was freezing the screens

In the face of some malicious software.

When supper time came, wiegie came on line

Saying fellows it's too rough to post here

At 7PM an infected pdf set in

He said fellas it's been good to know ya.

Then Az wired in he had a nasty problem coming in

And the huddle and members were in peril

And later that night when his computer lights stopped flashing “all right”

Came the wreck of the website The Huddle.

Does anyone know where the concern of WW goes

When the attacks turn our hard drives to garbage?

The IT folks all say we'd have been quite ok

If the folks at the Huddle had cared more.
