stethant
I will subscribe to the The Huddle for the next 10 years, even if I stop playing FFL, for the sole reason that DD refused to name the Vikings QB in this week's predictions. I had a pretty neutral opinion of the *Vikings QB before the season started (live and let live), but it seems fairly obvious now that the man is a raging egomaniac. After the 5th TD pass this weekend, we can only hope AP coldcocks him on live TV....
DMD
I sit here listening to ESPN, NFL channel , etc. all day so when they hype someone, I get it nonstop all day over and over. There are even some commercials that send me overboard. I had to do stop the insanity after our resident Vikings fan (Tuvey) and I were chatting during the games and he did not understand how I could not be in love with the QB-who-has-no-name. After my ranting, he proceeded to use his name in new and creative ways. When he said in Minnesota, they no longer say "hello" when they meet, they just say his name, it was on. In my local most of us made a pact never to say his name well before the season started. As far as we're concerned, the Vikings QB this year goes by the name Bert Ferbie. Chadman
How ironic that the Artist formerly known as Prince was in a luxury suite last week watching the QB to be remain nameless. After seeing Prince sit immovable for hours (multiple cutaways, Prince in exactly the same position, not moving) in what accounts for a "luxury box" in the Dome, I can only assume he was afraid to touch anything. My GOD that was a weird looking picture, but when you focus on those boxes, it becomes clear just how badly this teams needs a new stadium. wolfer
I was tailgateing along Washington Ave. a few years back and my buddy bought an anti-packers shirt for his dad..."Green Bay Sux (and Brett Favre Swallows)". It's still hard to wrap my mind around what has happened in Minny in the past 6 months. And now that the unnamed QB is in the mix for MVP, good luck turning on a radio without hearing his name...
