rajncajn
http://lifestyle.msn.com/your-life/family-...-grade-homework Each tree had 56 oranges. If 8 slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick? If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in 1 week? 2 weeks? That's how two of the problems read in homework for third graders from Beaver Ridge Elementary School in Norcross, Georgia. Another had young Frederick toting around six baskets of cotton. Big John
If your slave runs for 2200 yards on 300 carries, how much do you have to pay him next season?
Big Country
I wonder if going to a 3 beating per day schedule would encourage them to pick the oranges faster?
The Irish Doggy
They really need to work on that orange crop yield. Only 56 oranges per tree? Humph.

You are making assumptions. Keep an open mind, since no one mentions in the article how long they have been in the third grade.
SEC=UGA
I think the most shocking thing about this article is the revelation that there are third graders in Georgia who can read. Judging from the location of the school, most of the kids couldn't read it... If it was written in English.

SEC=UGA
Well... I decide to cruise over to the school's website. Atentamente, Jose DeJesus
