I think your score is VERY dependent on what order the states show up - just try placing Utah, Nebraska, Kansas, etc without any reference point around them.If you get some coastal states and the Big Eight shows up after you've got some other stuff in place, your score is going to be MUCH better. I know my 3rd time around that was how it worked, and I had the added benefit of my kids being out of the room and not grabbing the mouse while I was playing the game.
