footballmike93079
I'd say that Shazier jumping around like a jackass and taunting the fans right after he concussed Gio Bernard with an illegal hit is fairly lacking in class.C'mon man seriously? First of all, Shaizer had no idea he concussed Bernard. Also, how do you know he taunted the fans? He was celebrating, what he thought, was a forced fumble. I defended Burfect earlier in the season when he "jumped around like a jackass" as he ended Leveon Bells season. People don't know that these players don't realize that they just injured the other player. On both Shaizer and Burfect's hit, they were celebrating a big play.... footballmike93079
Lost in the wilderness much? Just show me evidence that proves he is guilty. I'll change my mind then . You can argue that he should never have put himself in that situation but that's it. And personally, I don't even like Ben Roethlisberger as a person. Had multiple run-ins with him at charity events and he couldn't have been more rude to the people. It's public record that security escorted a highly drunk 20 year old into the bathroom and they had sex. You don't have to be a SJW to conclude someone that drunk isn't capable of giving consent to sex with a stranger. Hope you have a daughter one day.

footballmike93079
Your first post was yesterday. You're exactly right. I came from the ESPN boards. They shut down a while back and after some looking around, I decided to land here. Am I allowed to post here Mr. John?

Dont Rookie Me........
I think overall the refs did not win or lose the game. The Shazier hit was on a runner who was trying to cut back after making some steps and with Shazier already committed. Personally I think it would have been hard to adjust. Brown was straight up vulnerable and never got a chance to defend himself. Shaziers hit could have been a flag or it could have not been a flag. But overall the Bengals just needed a little control near the end of the game to control their own destiny. They lost it and gave the Steelers the win. Go Steelers there is always one call every year that is a head scratcher and let this be the one they talk about as the Steelers are holding up the trophy. Moral is dont let the refs get involved keep your cool and dont fumble.

That means it's ok for the Bengals players to lose their minds and shove coaches and refs in crucial situations! It's not fair!!!!!

People have said that it should have been no worse than offsetting penalties because Porter should have been flagged also. Noone here has defended the dumbass known as Pacman..
CaptainHook
A coach came out on the field because of the serious nature of an injury to one of the star players on his team. Some smack talk ensued. If that is where it ends, this is a non story. Nobody even knows it happened. There is tons of trash talk that goes on every game between players, coaches, and fans. But Pac Man can't control himself because of words that were said, and starts pushing people, now both deserve a penalty? C'mon. CaptainHook
You know what I want to see? Did any extra players or coaches come off the sideline on to the field when Gio was hurt. That would be interesting.
HowboutthemCowboys
Porter wasn't checking on Brown when Pacman lost his mind. He was talking manure..just like he did his whole career. It doesn't excuse what Pacman did at all. But he shouldn't have been out there to begin with and should have been flagged...if only because of the way he was acting Guys were talking manure and getting chippy all game, especially in the 4th quarter. To only flag it with 20 secs to go and put a team in position to kick a game winning fg was stupid. Bear in mind that I couldn't care less who won
whomper
The best thing that happened in that whole game was the Bryant catch. Terrific concentration and ball control. He never lost control and left it up to chance for the stupid what is a catch zone

But Pac Man can't control himself because of words that were said, and starts pushing people, now both deserve a penalty? C'mon. Doesn't matter. It should never be allowed. A defensive coach, Joey Porter no less, coming onto the field after an injury to an offensive player and getting in the face of the opposing team. No, that should have been offsetting penalties. he had no business at all being out there. The refs completely blew that call and they completely blew the call on the hit to Bernard as Shazier led with the crown of his helmet. It doesn't matter if he committed already or he did it accidentally or whatever. Both were clear-cut penalties that should have went against Pittsburgh. To argue anything differently is just pure & complete bias. In addition, I thought Shazier's actions after the hit were deplorable. He was clearly taunting the crowd while Bernard was being tended to and seeing him waving bye as Bernard was being taken off was pretty sickening as well. What I find really funny in this thread is some of you acting as if anyone here is really defending the Bengals for their actions. Clearly they were in the wrong as well on all except the early defenseless receiver PF and even that one I can see how it would get called. They deserved the flags they got. However, that doesn't negate the fact that Pittsburgh should have been penalized as well & in both cases not only could have been huge swings in the outcome, but if called correctly, also could have made big differences in keeping emotions in check. CaptainHook
Unless there is video that I have not seen, statements like "Porter wasn't checking on Brown when Pacman lost his mind. He was talking taco" or "a defensive coach, Joey Porter no less, coming onto the field after an injury to an offensive player and getting in the face of the opposing team" are just wild speculation about what happened or relying on Bengals account of what happened. CaptainHook
Adam Jones on Antonio Brown's injury on Dan Patrick Show: "I know he was faking it." Classy. I suppose it's impossible that somebody talked manure to Joey Porter first while he was out checking on Antonio? Nah, Bengals would never do that. What business does the inside linebacker coach have on the field when a WR is injured. None at all, period. He is neither part of the medical staff nor is he even a position coach for the offense. In addition, EVEN IF he was given permission to be on the field, which I seriously doubt, he had no business at all getting in the Bengals defensive huddle. http://www.sbnation.com/2016/1/10/10743904/steelers-bengals-joey-porter-foul

Shaft
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25444526/report-joey-porter-facing-fine-for-saturday-nights-bengals-steelers-game The Bengals' playoff implosion Saturday night was one for the ages, an epic meltdown when they seemingly had the game in hand. Behavior during the final 120 seconds is going to result in fines and suspensions. Vontaze Burfict is facing a suspension for his hit on Antonio Brown (it was the definition of a cheap shot) and Steelers coach Joey Porter will likely get fined for his behavior from the game as well. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports Porter is facing a "clear fine for being on the field and interfering with players." Porter was on the field during the final seconds of the game and appeared to be ... having words with Bengals defensive back Adam Jones. The interaction led to a flag for Jones. La Canfora reports Porter told Steelers players he "was trying to attend to" Brown but will probably be disciplined anyway. Ed Bouchette ✔ @EdBouchette "If NFL fines Joey Porter for being on field, Steelers should double it in bonus to him. Without Pacman penalty, 50 FG try stead of 35 to win" Any other questions???????? FWmaker
Did anyone else wonder why Tomlin, with a 1st down and 18 seconds left (no timeouts) didn't run one play and have Ben then spike the ball w/ about 4-5 seconds left? Then the FG unit comes on, kicks, and essentially runs out the clock leaving no time for a kickoff and runback (and maybe one or two offensive plays by cincy? Maybe just worried they would not be able to get the spike in time or it might cause a penalty. It wouldn't be the first time I've ever seen a flag thrown on a spike for players not lined up properly or still moving when the ball is snapped.
