Riffraff
"We're not going to micromanage or over manage this quarterback competition," Tomlin told the media on Tuesday, shortly after the team arrived in Latrobe. "The depth chart will not rest on every throw. I know that you guys will want to ask me every day and every throw, but we're going to be a little bit more steady than that. I think it's important from a leadership perspective to not over manage it, to not be too impulsive, and so that's what I relate to those guys, and our actions will continue to display that mindset." Too logical for today's fans, especially ones that had such a good QB for so many years. Sure toss Pickett in there, he'll complete every pass for a TD. stevegrab
I just read that Pickett was throwing interceptions too, who did the PIT faithful call for then?
League_Champion
If anyone can use a QB it's Pitt. Has Jimmy G been tied to Pitt in any rumors?

darin3
I can't see Pickett starting in '22. They brought Trubisky in for a reason and they will likely stick with him. I can see Harris getting a LOT of touches in this offense, though. I don't think Trubisky will be anywhere close to putting up starter-level fantasy points.... even though there is the potential there based on his ability to scramble and get some rushing yardage. That said, if Trubisky is "meh", I can see Pickett getting the job in '23.
stethant
It's starting to get humorous how a lot of pundits think Mitch Trubisky is an upgrade on Ben the Rapist. Did they just forget Trubisky in Chicago? Yeah he could feed ARob enough but he was atrocious at reading coverage and finding open receivers. He hasn't started now in over a year and the Steelers o-line may be one of the worst, if not the worst, in the league. For FFL, this team scares the crap out of me in that Division.

I agree, Mitch probably does suck but who knows? Much like Fields he was drafted into the worst possible situation with Nagy and his minions. I would imagine that this is his final chance to prove he's a starter in the NFL. The Steelers really have no other options, not good ones anyway. gilthorp
He isn't good, we know this. He has a solid defense but a crappy OL. He will limit big mistakes and still has never thrown a pick 6 in his career. He is going to be a serviceable part there.
