Trivia Time

Now that we're in a total dead period for the NFL, thought it might be fun to have folks here ask NFL-related trivia questions.  NO GOOGLING FOR ANSWERS!

I'll start....

Who is the career leader in sacks for the Green Bay Packers?

I'm sure this one will go fast if Big John is around  :pc:

Your first thought was right.  I was actually pretty surprised.  I thought it'd be Reggie White even with him being there just a handful of years.

Matthews has the most, with 83.5.  Which is odd because on NFL-Radio they said it was 91.5.

E2A:  Irish, since you got it right... you got a question for us?

My first thought was The Minister of Defense as well. However, as Cowboys' Fan I saw him way too much in a Philly uniform to know that a ton of his sacks came as an Eagle, hell, he's probably the all time sack leader for the Eagles!

I'll come up with a trivia question...

Alright, here's my question -

Who are the only 2 players whose playing careers spanned over 4 decades?

Well,  I definitely know Morton Andsersen has the longest career. The other probably has to be a kicker too, but I'm going to say Brady anyway.

Ummm... George Blanda and Tom Brady?

Blanda is one. Played in the 40's-70's.

Andersen played from 82-07.  3 decades. He was close. As Big John said, Brady was also 3 decades starting in 2000, would've had it if he was in 1999.

Yep, and he played for your team.

I'm not going to say because I finally gave in and looked it up.  Kicker who played from the late 80's through at least 2010.  Few different teams, but definitely played for the Saints.

Just clarification, that's Clay Matthews Jr. (his dad was a Brown)

I am drawing a blank on the 2nd player who played in 4 decades.

Actually Clay Matthews III, father is Clay Matthews Jr.

Interesting, probably heard that before. Never heard of him going by Jr during his Browns playing days. And Clay Matthews the first also played in the NFL, guessing he just wasn't that well known. He had 2 sons and 4 grandons play in the NFL, very impressive.

I too found the answer after looking it up, was not somebody I expected

Who quarterbacked his team to a 15-13-1 in Division II but was a first round pick...a high first rounder...  ;)

What 4 quarterbacks are tied for most consecutive completions at 25?

Off the top of my head...

First one - Brandon Weeden?   I don't think he was a high first rounder though.

For the 2nd one, Peyton Manning?  Simms?  Brees?  Montana?  Elway?  Marino?
