Guest VoteQuimby
Mine was in 1994 FSU vs FLA the "Choke in Doak". It ended as a tie but it sure did not feel like one. Plus, it didn't hurt that we went on to beat them in the Sugar bowl that year. What is your favorite?

Big John
1997 - Wisconsin at Northwestern The score was seesawing all game. Then Northwestern took a comfortable lead. Late in the 4th quarter, Northwestern had a 2-point lead and had first down at the Wisconsin 10-yard line with about 1:00 remaining. Then they suddenly fumble the ball, with Wisconsin recovering. The Badgers then march down the field, then as time was expiriring, they kicked a long FG to win the game. jump

Chavez
I've only been to a few major college FB games, but my first was a doozy: Wisconsin 14, Michigan 10, Camp Randall Stadium, 1993 - This was during the Badgers' magical 93 season, where they broke through under Alvarez and ended up 10-1-1, ranked #5, and won the Rose Bowl for the first time ever. This game was a huge win for them - it was against UM, who tended to treat UW as a doormat (and had a LOOOOOOONG history of raiding the state of its best players, then letting them rot on the bench behind top national recruits) and hadn't lost to the Badgers in something like 20 years. Well, due to timely defense (Grbac threw 2 late ints, foreshadowing his oft-disappointing NFL career) and a couple td runs from the great RB tandem of Moss and Fletcher, Bucky held off the Maize and Blue for one of the great wins in Badger history (up to that point). But the REAL action came after the game - when the students rushed the field (myself among their number), security tried to stop it, which only resulted in about 80 people being injured and came to be known as "The Madison Stampede"; I had to call the family just to let them know I was OK. Azazello1313
i went to every colorado game for 3 years (kordell stewart, rashaan salaam, koy detmer era), and i definitely saw some great ones. but by far the best game i ever saw live was utah at air force...can't rememeber the exact year, but it had to be mid 90s. i know utah had one of the best teams they ever had (luther elliss' last year). it was almost surreal how great that game was. Sox
1984 WVU 21 Boston College 20 BC was ranked 4,I believe WVU was like 17th. BC took a 20-6 lead at the half, but WVU fought back and took a 21-20 lead and had a great defensive stand at the end. The defensive unit sacked the miniature mullet,Doug Flutie, eight times. BS Miscreant
Two games 1) Army - Navy 1986 at the Meadowlands Army/Navy any year is difficult to match in terms of electricity. This one was even better as it was my plebe year. 2) Michigan - Penn St last year First ever overtime game in the history of the "Big House"

myhousekey
2 games 1. 10/10/98 - (#18) Texas A&M over (#2) Nebraska 28-21 (1st time Aggies beat a team ranked that high) 2. 11/09/02 - (N/R) Texas A&M over (#1) Oklahoma Sooners 30-26 Was a bright spot in the season for sure. The Aggies had lost three straight games at Kyle Field, after losing just four times there throughout the 1990s.
policyvote
I was in the first row of the upper deck, right on the goal line, for the MSU-UM game a couple years back, where Smoker hit Duckett from the 2 to win it as time ran out. Crappy seats for most of the game, but the best seats in the house right when it counted. Peace policy
PatrickL
The best game that I ever went to would have to be Dec 2, 1989 Auburn 30 Alabama 20 an unbelievable day at Jordan Hare STadium as the tide came calling for the first time. The 2001 Au/Florida game, and many others (been a season ticket holder since 1987) come to mind, but no day had the emotion as did that first matchup w/ the tide in JHS.
