Whiskey Pimp
The Chiefs are all but out of the playoff race in the AFC so why is Blaylock the starter and not Larry Johnson? Are the Chiefs already giving up on LJ? I would think they would play him more to either A ) see what he has for them or B ) showcase him for a trade. Goes both ways. Obviously they don't like LJ, so maybe they see Blaylock as their future not LJ. One thing about Blaylock was he was huge v Atl, huge at NO, and wasn't good Monday against tough NE but did have almost 100 yards of total O, so lets not act as if he was horrible. On top of that going by what Vermeil said Holmes could be back next weekend Dec 5th week 13 anyway. Seeing that LJ didn't get even 1 touch the last 2 weeks I'd be VERY surprised if he played at all this Sunday.
Skrappy1
Didn't we have this post last week? What would possibly lead you to believe that Larry Johnson is any good in the first place? The Chiefs aren't going to get much for him in a trade, and "showcasing" him may actually end up lowering his value if he doesn't perform well, which is very liekly. I wouldn't even waste a roster spot on him in most leagues. Edited to add this link: http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?show...27entry562827 Much of the thread is the same argument betwee Blaylock/Johnson. Whiskey Pimp
I don't have LJ in any leagues and have Blaylock in only one and Priest in none. I was just curious as to why they continuously leave LJ on the bench. They are now 3-7 and if they want to see what they have, it's probably the best time to find out. Jrick35
Maybe they are waiting until he can start wearing pull-ups instead of diapers.
TecmoBeast
In the Chiefs last game, Madden said Larry Johnson hasn't shown them anything that he should be their back. I think that summarizes it up pretty good. maybe he isn't any good. he got some carries against Tampa and didn't cash in. i can see him getting a workload at the end of the season when they're eliminated from the playoffs... they'll be lookin to next year and wanna see what they got. just my feeling on him, these youngs guys get their chance eventually. he has trade written all over him after what blaylock did as a backup. Having Alexander AND LJ on the same team in a 10 team keeper league would almost have gauranteed a Superbowl victory! *snap* Okay, back to reality. BIG SACK
I love that kind of stuff. Bring back the dumb mistakes that people made not too long ago so we can all laugh. Well all of us who kept LJ in Dynasty leagues as a rookie.
MrTed46
One of my good buddies drafted LJ since he was a rookie (I think 2-3 seasons) in a keeper league. He said he had alot of potential and always raved about him in college. He was obviously never kept in the years he drafted him and guess what he didnt draft him last season....he was so pissed. Kid Cid
I knew this was the year he got the rock, I just couldn't imagine that he'd become a super stud over night. I drafted him early in all my leagues, was called foolish for doing it, and won the SB in two because of him. I had also held on to him since he was a rookie in my dynasty league. I'm looking pretty good this year I think.
NAUgrad
I drafted him fairly late (7th or 8th rnd) last year as well in a keeper league. Certainly didn't win the SB, but not because of him. I had too many players that didn't really get going until the end of the season.
chiefjay
So who should be the starter this year, LJ or Priest
Royal 88s
Herm Edwards has already named LJ as the starter. I guess the High Priest of TDs is gonna have to hang 'em up. I drafted LJ in the 6th round in my keeper league to go with LT and TO! Can't wait for next year! P.S. I won my league, thanks LJ

TheGrunt
So who should be the starter this year, LJ or Priest 1394808[/snapback] Priest might get to start first but LJ will take over; if not take over right at the first game. LJ has to much talant not to play him more!
