Now Im hearing he is going in the 2nd of afternoon drafts. I've never witnessed such a weird ADP rollercoaster for one player over a few days. Now that I am looking at it I think it's probably a little combination of both. He's already crazy and didn't really want to play for the Raiders after seeing how much of a rebuilding program it is, (got cold feet? ) and wanted to get released in some fashion. The Pats weren't going to give him 29 million guaranteed but decided 9 was worth it after having Edelman, a possibly not drug free Gordon as their WR's. I have to believe that the Patriots had contacts telling them AB wanted to go elsewhere and was making a scene partially to get out of Oakland. These are total guesses by me. I just have a slightly hard time believing the Pats signed him this quickly with no assurances of his mental health, and figured that out within a few hours. Maybe he just wanted to push them around as much as he wanted and when they pushed back decided he didn't want to be there. Then when they voided the guarantees it was time to go.
