Upon splitting up, she didn't think she could afford it. My name (only) was already on the loan so I kept it (but just barely). So anyways, I moved into this big empty house with not much stuff. To make it more like home for my 3 kids, I would always decorate the mantle by season. (When football starts we put up some football stuff, etc). I couldn't afford to decorate the whole house so we just did the mantle. So what you see behind me is whatever Christmas decorations my mom gave me, or the kids made at school, or whatever.
