DMD
According to ESPN, the Rams have waived Isaac Bruce but that move could likely be reversed if a CBA is completed and teams get more money. Still, it is a surprise despite Bruce's age.

DMD
Maybe Lovie Smith in Chicago would grab him to go with Muhammy? 1353402 I noticed an interesting stat just yesterday. Of the top 20 receivers last year, Mushie was the only one that caught less than half of the passes thrown to him. 139 vs. 64 or just 46%. Of the top 50, only Brandon Lloyd (117 - 48) and Justin McCareins (101-43) had a lower percentage. Mushie had a standard 57% in 2004. Seems the problem was mainly on the passing end in CHI, not the catching.

Hell, I'd love to see him come to Pittsburgh.

If they get Randle El or Bruce and Grossman stays healthy that would change.
i_am_the_swammi
A sure-handed veteran WR like Bruce (or Moulds) would sure look nice in Eagle green.

Bill Swerski
Maybe Lovie Smith in Chicago would grab him to go with Muhammy? 1353402 I doubt it. If the Bears want another veteran WR, they'd go after a younger speed guy. Muhammad and Bruce are both aging possession receivers. Down Goes Frazia
hello kevin curtis.... he showed what he could do given the chance last year...... now he'll finally get his shot. the guy has speed to burn.

DMD
No doubt to me that Curtis made them feel Bruce was expendable. In the six games last year when Bruce did not play and Curtis replaced him, Curtis produced these numbers: Wk Opp Catch/TD3 TEN 5-56, 14 @NYG 6-78, 5 SEA 5-63, 16 @IND 3-73, 17 NO 4-90, 8 JAX 3-105, 1 That's 4 TDs and 465 yards in six games - That pace over 16 games would be 1240 yards and 11 TDs. Maybe that is too much to expect, but he seemed to play well against SEA, IND and JAX defenses which is impressive too,

Bill Swerski
Soooo....how does this affect the value of Kevin Curtis? 1353818 Or that of Holt, who will most likely be seeing more double-teams now.
twiley
The one thing that is important to remember about Curtis is that most of his yardage this past season usually came off of 1 play. He would have had about 35 yards in the JAX game had it not been for 1 hugh throw from Martin. No doubt, he's got a tremendous amount of potential but I'd throw a little caution to the wind before I put him in as a consistent #2 WR. I'll also have to look up his numbers with Bulger as the QB because I think they weren't that great as opposed to Jamie Martin who seemed to connect with him a lot. We were screaming at all most every game, because Bruce was open about 80% of the time, yet Bulger would not throw to him. Now, whether that is because the play did not call for it, or something else, I will never know. But there definately seemed to be a lack od chemistry happening withBulger and Bruce. No receiver should be as open as he was, and not get the rock.
DMD
Or that of Holt, who will most likely be seeing more double-teams now. 1353994 I don't believe that it affects Holt negatively or positively per se. When Bruce was out last season and Holt was playing (4 games), here is what Holt did: 3 TEN 9-163, 1 4 @NYG 7-84, 1 5 SEA 8-126, 1 6 @IND 6-70 He averaged 111 yards per game and almost one score in each. Holt will be fine with Bruce there or not. Holt will be fine with Martz there or not.

I could see many people taking Curtis way too early and getting burned OR they could look like a genius.
