BigTen
How is Seattle ahead of Cinncinati? Does not make sense. They did not even score a TD.

They're afraid to move them down too far, as it will cause a flood in Seattle......
cre8tiff
Nice, the Saints looked good, but ranked 24th under EIGHT 0-1 teams.

The Wolf
I'm torn...the Jets are rebuilding and I want them to have very high picks next year...am I wrong for wanting them to lose???
Guest Cherni
I'm torn...the Jets are rebuilding and I want them to have very high picks next year...am I wrong for wanting them to lose??? I heard Mike & Mike in the AM talking about this exact situation. Golic was busting Greenie's chops for wanting the Jets to lose. He called him a half a fan. Tough call, rooting against your own team is not a good time. Best of luck.

It was worth it. If they lose, I don't feel as bad. Makes sense. Thanks I think I love you, but what am I so afraid of?.
godtomsatan
I'm torn...the Jets are rebuilding and I want them to have very high picks next year...am I wrong for wanting them to lose??? Yes. Because if they win, they aren't rebuilding anymore.
notamomo
I'm torn...the Jets are rebuilding and I want them to have very high picks next year...am I wrong for wanting them to lose??? So....who are you targeting with the 1st pick in next year's draft that makes you want to root against your team? Seems to me that smart teams draft well, even if they don't have the first pick. Yes, you wrong to want them to lose. Mangina would probably trade down if he had the first pick anyway. J-E-T-S suck, suck, suck
Goopster24
J-E-T-S suck, suck, suck Love it. One should never root for their team to lose because like you said, good teams draft well no matter where they draft. Your franchise should not be waiting to bank on the next Reggie Bush. Vet
I'm torn...the Jets are rebuilding and I want them to have very high picks next year...am I wrong for wanting them to lose??? Yes, you are wrong. The draft is a very uncertain science. No one player can turn a franchise around, so at the end of the day whether you have the #1 or the #8 pick it's really a crapshoot anyway. As a matter of fact, I'd argue that if the Jets can somehow scratch out 6 or 7 wins (I'm not predicting that, just saying....), they will have a much better chance of signing a big-name free agent or two than they would if they finish 1-15. So, sure the #1 draft pick is sexy and all, but I'd rather be viewed as a respectable organization by potential free agents who are proven NFL players and who at the end of the day can make a much bigger difference than some kid coming out of college who may or may not turn out to be a good pro. So, I want the Jets to win as many games as possible. It is in their best interests as a re-building franchise.

TheGrunt
They're afraid to move them down too far, as it will cause a flood in Seattle...... Oh. After watching the Steelers last week dominate without a starting QB, it made me realize something. They are not a good team because of Big Ben, they are a good team because of their system. In the front office, and even coaching positions, they have not made many changes over the last few decades. Obviously here-and-there, there's going to be minor changes in administrative, coaching and other positions, but the Steelers simply have a dominating franchise -- they have a system that works, and will continue to work in the NFL until major changes happen to that organization... They won't win the SuperBowl every year (or for a long time, hopefully), but it seems to me that they will always be a force to reckon with. A team that will consistently make it to the playoffs, or at least very close to making it every year. And Menudo will always be there, ready to pounce on anyone who dares talk down about this team. Yup. Things seem like they will remain the same for awhile.

Riffraff
If a franchise depends upon some unknown rookie to be it's savior, they've got more problems keeping them at the bottom of the barrell than the draft position. High draft picks do not guarantee studs or success. Good coaching goes a heck of a lot further.
crispirons
though adrian peterson might look good in green and white.
Riffraff
There's always Irons, Lynch, or Bush. It's not as if they need to be the leagues worst team to get Peterson (or any other RB). The top pick should be QB Quinn. Peterson would be expected to be a top 5 pick.
Snoil
Speaking of system consistency, look at the Lions since 1958......you want consistency? We got it in spades!
