So, what are YOU doing right now?

So I woke up somewhat early this morning, drove up to my site inspection in Ocala, FL and then turned around, back through Orlando (sampling a joyous slice of pepperoni pizza at a roadside Sbarro as I typically do during this trip) and reached today's destination of Vero Beach. Because my client had to re-schedule our meeting (was supposed to be today at 3) to tomorrow, I got to my hotel early and as such, they don't have my room ready (ahhh, the wonders of being a Priority Club member at Holiday Inn... oceanside room upgrade for freeeeeee). So I grabbed my laptop, threw on a pair of shorts and my sandals and came out to the beach. Since my damn Dell laptop's battery only lasts about 45 minutes, that should provide ample Huddle time while feeling the nice warm breeze of the Atlantic. The water is wayyyy bluer than in California. Such a gorgeous day, about 87 degrees here. Ah, and would ya look at that.... my margarita arrived. :D So, what are YOU up to?

actually, funny you mention it...i'm looking at those pics of your sister and thinking about running to the head to rub one out. :D

HeyDarin! I think they have a couple of casino boats within 1.5 hours of you. You should try to slip down to one of those tonight for some poker!

:D I believe there's one in Cocoa Beach, which may be closer than 1.5 hours. But alas, I can't afford to play right now. I am, however, on fire on Bodog and will play tonight after watching the NBA at the bar. :D

He is correct!

This is just one of them. I'm sure there are others.

I am waiting for the next session of my conference to start. This morning I chaired a session that mostly focused on Portuguese trading networks in the 16th and 17th centuries. Then I went to a session on US banking in the 19th century. And now I have to decide if I want to go to a session on (1) the economic history of financing wars; (2) textile production during the Great Depression; or (3) the history of American business (specifically focusing on the role played by sales managers).

:D

:D

(I think I am going to opt for the first option.)

Did you get to the part where the South had repaid most of it's debt to pay for the many wars, unlike the North? Then the Federal Gubment decided to charge the South more than it's share which led to the States' Rights issues that would eventually lead to the Civil War. Just curious.
