AtomicCEO Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 The concept: Wine and Scanner Party Invite long-time friends over to the house and have them bring a bottle of wine, and their photo albums from the time we have all known each other. Go through photo albums and scan good photos onto CDs/Media cards for everyone to take home. Meanwhile, get loopy and reminisce about the good old days. I have lots of pictures from college and since, but they are mostly of the people I'd invite to the party, whereas they have the pictures with me in them. Sound fun? What a fast way to scan photos? The only way I know how to do it involves Photoshop, a slow scan process, then cropping and correcting color, and then saving... that whole process is time consuming and technical. I thought when typing my message that I could be missing something but if I did, I'm still missing it. Don't get me wrong man, you want to get together with your boys, get wasted, look at pictures of each other while sharing stories and putting the pics on disks as parting gifts. Who am I to judge? My sister is into scrapbooking, and she put together her last one and then had it copied. It came out very nice with high reolution for about $2 a page. If you instead had everyone bring over their photos and put together a scrapbook, then you could copy them. As much as I love a good beruit tournament, it's tough to get the wives interested in that at my age. Plus, it's the offseason, so football is out. I have a lot of drunk-ass pictures of parties and concerts and camping trips and stuff, but I'm curious what pics my friends have too. Richard Simmons thinks that party is too ghey for him to attend. That is just wierd bro.
