Sunny Day

Sweepin' the clouds away

On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,

How to get to Sesame Street

Come and play

Everything's A-OK

Friendly neighbors there

That's where we meet

Can you tell me how to get

How to get to Sesame Street

It's a magic carpet ride

Every door will open wide

To Happy people like you--

Happy people like

What a beautiful

Sunny Day

Sweepin' the clouds away

On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,

How to get to Sesame street...

How to get to Sesame Street

If you're going to get into the classical world, then there are THOUSANDS of candidates:

Bach, 3rd movement of the Italian Concerto

Vivaldi's "Spring" from the 4 Seasons

Mozart's Marriage of Figaro Overture

Beethoven, the 1st movement of the 6th Symphony (which, strangely enough, he wrote while in the process of realizing his hearing loss was permanent).

too many options to even start a list.

99 Red Balloons sung in German by Homer Simpson. Saw it last night on the Bart and the junkfood machine episode where Marge and Homer had to turn their home into a European youth hostel to pay off Barts trip to the "fat farm".

Hast Du etwas Zeit für mich

Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich

Von 99 Luftballons

Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont

Denkst Du vielleicht grad' an mich

Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich

Von 99 Luftballons

Und dass sowas von sowas kommt

Don't know why but it just makes me smile

99 luftballons!

You realize that the song was about nuclear proliferation, right?

It's about how some unnamed army detected what they thought were nuclear missles, prepared to retaliate only to discover that it was just a batch of balloons released by children. It's about how scary war is and how misguided it can be.

Here is the english translation:

You and I in a little toy shop

buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got

Set them free at the break of dawn

'Til one by one, they were gone

Back at base, bugs in the software

Flash the message, "Something's out there"

Floating in the summer sky

99 red balloons go by.

99 red balloons

floating in the summer sky

Panic bells, it's red alert

There's something here from somewhere else

The war machine springs to life

Opens up one eager eye

Focusing it on the sky

Where 99 red balloons go by.

99 Decision Street

99 ministers meet

To worry, worry, super-scurry

Call the troops out in a hurry

This is what we've waited for

This is it boys, this is war

The president is on the line

As 99 red balloons go by.

99 Knights of the air

ride super-high-tech jet fighters

Everyone's a Superhero

Everyone's a Captain Kirk

With orders to identify

To clarify and classify

Scramble in the summer sky

As 99 red balloons go by.

99 dreams I have had

In every one a red balloon

It's all over and I'm standin' pretty

In this dust that was a city

If I could find a souvenier

Just to prove the world was here...

And here is a red balloon

I think of you and let it go.

I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever

Over the mountains and the sea,

Your river runs with love for me,

and I will open up my heart

and let the Healer set me free.

I'm happy to be in the truth,

and I will daily lift my hands:

for I will always sing of when

Your love came down. [Yeah!]

I could sing of Your love forever,

I could sing of Your love forever,

I could sing of Your love forever,

I could sing of Your love forever. [Repeat]

Oh, I feel like dancing -

it's foolishness I know;

but, when the world has seen the light,

they will dance with joy,

like we're dancing now.
