i_am_the_swammi
Copied and pasted the first four rounds....3 QBs going in Round 1 is a first that I've ever seen. PPR league. First impressions: Ryan Grant in the 3rd round, and a healthy Kevin Jones in the 4th seems way too low. And I'd be glad to let someone take Romo in the 1st round, while I grabbed Palmer in the 4th. Owner #2 looks scary: LT, Wayne, Fitz & Palmer as his 1st four picks...nice start! 1. Adrian Peterson (RB MIN) 2 LaDainian Tomlinson (RB SD) 3 Tom Brady (QB NE) 4 Joseph Addai (RB IND) 5 Brian Westbrook (RB PHI) 6 Steven Jackson (RB STL) 7 Peyton Manning (QB IND) 8 Larry Johnson (RB KC) 9 Willis McGahee (RB BAL) 10 Tony Romo (QB DAL) 11 Randy Moss (WR NE) 12 Willie Parker (RB PIT) Round 2 13 Terrell Owens (WR DAL) 14 Frank Gore (RB SF) 15 Maurice Jones-Drew (RB JAC) 16 Reggie Bush (RB NO) 17 Darren McFadden (RB Unaffiliated) 18 Marion Barber (RB DAL) 19 Marshawn Lynch (RB BUF) 20 Rudi Johnson (RB CIN) 21 Clinton Portis (RB WAS) 22 Brandon Jacobs (RB NYG) 23 Reggie Wayne (WR IND) 24 Ronnie Brown (RB MIA) Round 3 25 Braylon Edwards (WR CLE) 26 Larry Fitzgerald (WR ARI) 27 Andre Johnson (WR HOU) 28 T.J. Houshmandzadeh (WR CIN) 29 Torry Holt (WR STL) 30 Antonio Gates (TE SD) 31 Ryan Grant (RB GB) 32 Travis Henry (RB DEN) 33 Laurence Maroney (RB NE) 34 Marvin Harrison (WR IND) 35 Chad Johnson (WR CIN) 36 Shaun Alexander (RB SEA) Round 4 37 Earnest Graham (RB TB) 38 LenDale White (RB TEN) 39 Jason Witten (TE DAL) 40 Steve Smith (WR CAR) 41 Anquan Boldin (WR ARI) 42 Kevin Jones (RB DET) 43 Roy Williams (WR DET) 44 Thomas Jones (RB NYJ) 45 Jamal Lewis (RB CLE) 46 Plaxico Burress (WR NYG) 47 Carson Palmer (QB CIN) 48 Brandon Marshall (WR DEN) Edited December 11, 2007 by i_am_the_swammi
Gopher
No way 3 QB's should be in the top 10 picks... Too inconsistent from year to year, as we've seen this year from Manning, Brees, McNabb, Bulger, etc. The problem with taking QB's that early, in my opinion, is that there are too many factors out of their control that affect the QB's production. The team's running game, offensive line stability, the defense's ability to stop the opponent from scoring... all of those things can limit a QB's numbers, not to mention how many starting QB's get hurt every season. Even Brady has been a "bust" a few times in the past 3-4 years (in comparison to his ADP). Even in a league with 6 pts per TD pass, I would find it very difficult to take a QB in the first round, other than Brady next year. I tried it with Manning in one league this year, only because it's a 16-team league with only 13 roster spots, and I didn't want to have to hold on to two QB's all season. Didn't make the playoffs, even though the rest of my roster is decent for a 16-team league: RB Grant, Portis, Maroney, Faulk/Morris WR Bowe, A. Johnson, Cotchery, Evans TE Davis, Watson Def Colts Not surprising coming from CBS, though.

isleseeya
i would not Peterson in front of Tomlinson especially in a PPR league not even sure i would put him in front of Westbrook in PPR league
cre8tiff
Crazy there is no love for Turner. I'd expect him to at least be a second rounder next season.
Randall
MJD in the early 2nd round? I fell for that this season... I fell for Carson Palmer in the 4th too. I think I'm benching him this week in Ladder. I like Jennings in the 5 though. Where did we get him last year, the 9th? EDIT-No, 8th round. Randall
Crazy there is no love for Turner. I'd expect him to at least be a second rounder next season. McFadden was picked awful early. I hope that doesn't happen next year hoping for another AP.
NAUgrad
Henry and Maroney are too high at 3rd round picks. Even S. Alexander is too high as a 3rd round pick. I can tell you that Maroney will not be on my roster again as he is a complete waste of air. S. Alexander is welcome on my roster as a #4 back only. I actually think Peterson belongs above Westbrook simply because of Westbrook's yearly injury issues. Peterson certainly has had issues this year, but it's only his first and he hasn't established a long history of injury in the NFL just yet. MTSuper7
Wow, Steve Smith's value sure has dropped. Any reason to think he won't be back to a top 10 WR with a healthy Delhomme next year?
Uncle Wiggy
Wow, Steve Smith's value sure has dropped. Any reason to think he won't be back to a top 10 WR with a healthy Delhomme next year? That's what I was thinking - with Delhomme back, Smith should return to top 5 WR status. Other thoughts... - no way I go near Maroney in the 1st 5 rounds - Jacobs is a bit risky that high due to his constant injuries - no way I'd take Manning or Romo in the 1st round - if Moss signs in NE, I think he's the 7 or 8 pick at the latest - 20+ TDs out of a WR is very hard to pass up. BrooklynCrew
The thing I like best about this mock is that in my main keeper league I have LT, APete, and Romo and keep all 3 next year. I do agree that you won't see 3 qb's go in round 1... but they'll likely be gone by early round 3 in most leagues...
whomper
AD is a beast but Tomlinson would still be my # 1 pick..Hes durable, hes proven, and people like him (staurday night live joke) Edited December 11, 2007 by whomper
rai
no love for Jamal at 45? he's a top 5 scoring RB in my league and he didn't play a full season either with a sprained foot. Edited December 11, 2007 by rai

rai
no way not in a Dynasty he's a year older than FWP two years older than Portis he's the same age as Rudi and LJ and better too (IMO) he's the same age as LT he's way younger than TO and Moss (I know they are WRs but still) Fine Jamal is drafted too late I got him way late this year) Edited December 11, 2007 by rai
