Skippy
Isn't it tomorrow? I guess this thread was just in case the Huddle is closed down for Vetrans Day. Edited November 10, 2008 by Skippy
darin3
May God bless each brave soul who's given his/her life to the freedoms we enjoy. And a hearty thank-you to all the veterans here at the Huddle and beyond. Your service often goes thankless but we appreciate you more than you know. Skippy
Now it is officially Vetrans Day. I will have the day off that all of you Vets have earned. I don't know why us slackers that never served get the day off but I sure do respect those of you that earned what this day is all about. I thank all Vetrans! jaxfactor
I'd like to thank all of those currently in the military still fighting for our freedom. I'd also like to thank those vets that fought in the past so we as a country could have what we have today. And the final thank you goes to those who paid the ultimate price fighting for the most precious gift that anyone can have.....FREEDOM. God bless our vets and their families! Rovers
Today is for those who served and survived. I took today off, it's my day. Memorial Day is not for vets, it's for heroes that gave all they had to give. There is a big difference, and it's why there are two holidays.... even those of us that served cannot share Memorial Day with those who gave everything they could possibly give, we can only try to honor them. Having said that, I take pride in this holiday. I just ask that folks remember the difference between Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. And to the other vets on the board, whether they are VFW or peacetime vets, I salute you.
