Any of you rabble ever heard High Tide? I only just discovered them this afternoon. Found their 2006 remastered CD Sea Shanties (originally 1969) on Amazon at $99 (!) so went to iTunes and found it for $7.99. Downloaded the whole thing and it is f'n staggeringly good. Never heard anything quite like it.

If you're into heavy music somehow mixed with folk and prog rock, this is for you. The dueling electric violin and guitar calls to mind Charlie Daniels and Jimi Hendrix competing to see who can be the most demented. The second track "Death Warmed Up" is worth the whole album price on it's own.

Just incredible that this kind of thing is still out there, mostly unheard and unknown. Blisteringly good.

All good calls. Little Lion Man from Mumford and Sons is an awesome song. I dont have the rest of the album, how does it compare?
