Grits and Shins
It was simply a creative way for that man to say he wanted Bush to walk a mile in his shoes. It would have been hilarious to see one of those shoes conk W on the head ... and the ensuing madness.

Grits and Shins
So if those shoes are well worn and the smell is autroicous ... would that be considered an attack with a biological weapon? Chemical warfare?

bushwacked
in other news, that reporter just got offered a multi-million dollar contract with MSNBC. Maybe if you would have been listening to his news reports in the last 7 -7000 years you might have helped our country. bushwacked
I give 100:1 odds that some right wing blogger somewhere is building momentum on how this should be blamed on liberals. I'll give 1,000,000:1 odds that people take that to heart and run with it.
tazinib1
In Iraqi culture, it is the ultimate insult to use a shoe. When Husein was overthrown, there was numerous coverage of Irazi citizens beating his image with there shoes lol. Family Guy cut to gang war using shoes
Dr. Sacrebleu
I was thinking the same thing. Regardless of if you guys like him or not he is the President of the United States and this kinda disrespect should not be tolerated. The secret service took way too long to act in my opinion... Dude. The secret service is not there to make sure that the President of the USA gets the proper respect he does or does not deserve. They are not arbiters of etiquette. They are their to beat the stuffing out of anyone who poses or seems to pose a danger to the president. This guy obviously represented the latter and should have been stopped immediately. While I am at it, I will say that the first shoe dodge is probably the president's best work to date. Pretty impressive
detlef
"This is a farewell kiss, you dog." Sorry, this is just funny. I know, I know, he's the POTUS and dude needs to be punished, but mostly this is just really funny.
TimC
In Iraqi culture, it is the ultimate insult to use a shoe. As opposed to blowing yerself up, which is viewed as only a minor inconvenience. Sick bass turds. We should nuke them all and let Allah and his virgins sort it out. Kid Cid
That would have been the perfect comeback. Of course we all know Bush does not think quickly on his feet.

The Holy Roller
Great. Now none of us will get wear shoes around the president. And the guy should have had three bullets in his forehead as soon as he launched the first shoe.
WaterMan
And the guy should have had three bullets in his forehead as soon as he launched the first shoe. Our country is bankrupt under this doofus and was attacked under his watch. Do you really think any part of our government is able to stand on its own two legs? chester
I don't see why this guy was not gunned down by the secret service. At the very least, why didn't they have W on the floor before the second shoe was in the air?

The only thing I said about the secret service was that they didn't act fast enough....... How was I supposed to read this kinda disrespect should not be tolerated. right before a phrase regarding the secret service, and right after a sentence regarding the secret service? H8tank
It is funny watching you libs laugh in glee, and don't even realized you just got PWND. By working for an organization that didn't exist under Saddam and attending a press conference that would never take place under Saddam hosted by a democratically elected leader that didn't exist under Saddam and enjoying the newly minted freedom that didn't exist under Saddam and shouting "It is the farewell kiss, you dog" showing he did not feel the threat to his personal safety that existed under Saddam and throwing his shoes at a world leader that under Saddam would have seen him fed feet first into a tree shredder, Muntazer al-Zaidi - journalist, nascent pin up boy of the Muslim world and hero of the world's left - confirmed Bush's greatness. That is the irony that the left has missed in its pathological hatred of George W Bush. Freedom reigns in Iraq. Bush made it happen. It would never have happened under a President Gore.
