Ursa Majoris
Oddly, +1...never once occured to me to watch them. And at this point, as good as they likely were from the period in which they wer emade, I'd have a hard time thinking they were better than the more gore-filled Good Fellas/Casino genre. Gotta disagree with that. Godfather 1 and 2 are infinitely better than GoodFellas.

BiggieFries
Never seen: Outlaw Jossey Wales Citizen Kane Gone With the Wind to name a few. It's mostly older movies. Since I've gotten married and had a kid I haven't been able to watch as many newer ones either.

tazinib1
in case you missed robocop. Funny you should mention RoboCop. One of my favorite phrases is "I'll buy THAT for a dollar". A few of my buddies have asked me what the hell am I talking about and I will ask them if they have ever watched RoboCop. They have but they still don't get it. Dumbasses. AtomicCEO
I have seen too much? All I've seen are a bunch of low-foreheads who think they can change the world with dreams and talk. Well it's too late for that! If you're not ready to act then gimme a break and shaddap!

tonorator
my wife has tried to get me through gone with the wind. always fall asleep. always. i don't think i've ever actually sat through wizard of oz. sober that is. others i've never sat through in its entirety include citizen kane, casablanca, raging bull, singin' in the rain, lawrence of arabia, and vertigo. damn near the entire afi top 10. the only ones i've seen on that list include the godfather and schindler's list. it is also risky business to go back and watch a classic after so many years. watching a classic in retrospect loses the conditions of the time that the movie was released. i finally got around to watching 2001:A Space Odyssey and was not impressed. now, if i had seen it on the big screen at the time of release, it may have blown me away. since that time i've watched so much sci-fi (much of which was influenced by that flick) that has gone so far beyond that its tough to be impressed or blown away by the old stuff, like sky for example ... Pretty much my fear dead-on to watching the Godfather series today....I am sure it will be remembered as primo-acting at the time...but will it have the same impact today? I think I'd rather not see it than be disappointed by it.
