Clubfoothead
Sorry to disappoint. Baby woke up from her nap. Started sawing with the hacksaw. 1/2 way through the knob the knob just turned.
ts
... 1/2 way through the knob the knob just turned. Well, I'll be sorry not to see the video, but am glad to hear that things ended well enough. Thanks for the update.
MikesVikes
Does it have a hole in the middle of the knob? If it does stick a small nail in it to push the button out and it will open. The insides of a bic pen works great. Maybe the Allen wrench is too big or the coat hanger isn't straight enough.

SteelBunz
Hold up a sec.......anyone ask if the hinge pins are on the outside of the door? (ie......where YOU are?) Just saying.....this is often overlooked.......LOL. It's a longshot.....as bedroom doors shouldn't open out into the hall.......but you never know. tazinib1
Golden opportunity to play Incredible Hulk or at least have a hole in the door to do "Here's JOHNNY!!!"
chester
Wait! Go to the hood with a bottle of cheap wine and find out who has been arrested for breaking and entering. He'll get that door open. When you go to Home Depot to get the tools. Don't go inside... just hire one of the fine fellows standing outside looking for work. And when they are done cracking that door open in 10 seconds, have them do your lawn. 2 for 1 deal. That exact thing happened! My brother in law got married a few years back in Nashville. When he got back to his condo he realized that his keys were locked inside and there was no spare. Everybody is waiting around as he starts climbing up to the balcony in his suit to see if a window is open. Well this Mexican guy is mowing the lawn and stops to laugh at him. BIL gives him a 'could you do better' kind of reply and in broken english the guy asks if he has a credit card. That door was open in less than 10 seconds.
