kpholmes
My son and I watched the animated series together, and are really looking forward to the live-action movie. The series had some fantastic writing! I believe you are referring to "The Last Airbender" directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Â This is unrelated if I'm not mistaken. cliaz
Wow, that looks amazing. The CGI is becoming so good now, it is very hard to tell what isn't real anymore. The colors used are very dynamic. It does have the feel of the white man showing up in the new world and roughing up the natives.

I have no idea when it's scheduled to hit theaters. I'm told it's part animated and part non-animated (couldn't think of better way to say it). SLAYER
I've been seeing spots for a new trailer being released today at Jerry's House, being advertised as the largest trailer preview. which would be cool if you were there to see it, otherwise you have to watch it on NBC during their Football Night in America show tonite. Unless that wasn't the new trailer.

cdrudge
60 Minutes just had a segment on James Cameron and the movie. He mentioned that they have spent $400m between production and marketing costs. That is just obscene for one movie.
Riffraff
Yeah, part of the marketing costs were the 3-4 minute commercials. Most commercials are up to 30 seconds long. Big bucks spent there.
