whomper Posted April 30, 2010 Share Posted April 30, 2010 I am looking forward to this one. I have been crazy busy at work and bartending on the weekends. This weekend I am off from bartending. Tonight we got invited to my friends house . he has a cool fire pit in his yard. They have 2 kids right around the age of my girls. Gonna kick back with some friends and have a few cocktails and enjoy some friends/family time. Tomorrow is a carnival in town. It is for the volunteer fire dept. Tons of rides , games, food. Kids are psyched and so are we. Sunday we are going to one of my best friends Christening for his son. A lot of good friends are going and the place we are going to after the church is sweet. Sunday is the first monthly Skins game at the home course. Expect maybe 30 or more golfers. Everyone throws in $20 for skins. Hoping to bring home some cash this weekend! kpholmes Posted April 30, 2010 Share Posted April 30, 2010 Our local church is having a big "Men's BBQ" tonight - their Men's Ministry does a quarterly get together, where they'll have a big breakfast or dinner. My dad and I don't usually go - but we're going tonight because Steve Arterburn is guest speaking, so he should have some cool things to say. Tomorrow I'm going beer brewing all afternoon with some friends/co-workers from the camp I work at every summer. Sunday we have our bi-annual meeting for the 35 of us that are on the Board of Directors for the camp. 4+ hours of fund-raising, scholarship, and camp improvement discussions that go well over our set meeting time. darin3 Posted April 30, 2010 Share Posted April 30, 2010 Weekend technically started last night with seeing Phoenix and Two Door Cinema Club () play at the world famous Stubb's in Austin. Had a few cocktails before, during and after. Had a pizza lunch for some friends' wedding kickoff, and heading out to their wedding here in an hour or so. Should be a fun night. bushwacked Posted April 30, 2010 Share Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) In another hour heading over Stevens Pass making our way to Wenatchee for the world famous Apple Blossom Festival. Wife's mom has a business on the parade route, so I think I'll drink a couple cold ones while watching the parade. Weekend will be filled with family, friends, and at least one BBQ. Dude, i have to get up and be at the soccer field by 7:30 to work the concession stand. My youngest daughter's soccer game at 11:00. My youngest daughter's birthday party (9 y.o.) at 1:00. My oldest daughter's birthday party (12 y.o.) at 3:00. My wife has already told me I'm not allowed to carry tomorrow for that very reason.
