irish
The Steelers filled a major hole in round 1 getting OLB/DE, Mingo and now get a replacement for aging vet, Larry Foote at ILB, with the selection of Kevin RIddick. At 6'1", 245 lbs, Riddick looks to be a future starter as a 3-4 ILB. He has good size, great instincts, and is at is best attacking as a blitzer. He can play to high and sometimes struggles to shed blockers, however, when considering his football IQ alone, he'd at the very least be a quality backup but probably productive starter. irish
yeah no big either way but is it worth doing Round 3 on this one? I have already deleted round 3. We will finish round 2 and then wait til april to do another 2 round mock.
MorningMud
After getting maybe the best DT if the draft (if not one of the best) in Jonathan Hankins, the Cowboys get some much needed help at the OLB position, grabbing up 1st round talent, Arthur Brown. Their linebacking corps just lacks so much range and that is something that Brown has as one of his greatest strengths. Brown is a bit undersized at 6'1" 225 lbs, but he is a rangy, solid tackling machine with tremendous acceleration and speed. I think the Jerry Jones might pee himself (or have an assistant do it for him) if Brown was there in the 2nd.

electricrelish
That's a great idea. We can finish up round 2 and then wait until the beginning of April and run another 2-round mock prior to the real draft. I signed up and committed to three rounds. To change the plan after it's already started is like changing league rules once the season has started. It's bad form.

satelliteoflovegm
I did want to see what QB's lasted until round 3 and if my plan would work. Oh well...
irish
Not quite the thread to put this in, however, if any of you guys are looking to get into more bracket tourneys I'm running one through my school for $5.00 a sheet. If you want in PM your email addy and I'll send you an invite. You'd have to send me cash or check as I don't do PayPal. Since it's so cheap, if you want to do multiple sheets, let me know. peteteacher2001
I must say the Jake Long signing definitely shapes the Rams draft as well.
WashingtonD
I just skipped the Bears pick as Darin is obviously still recovering from being teased about his 1st round selection for the Bears (also to keep things moving before folks lose interest)

Capt. Stanky
I really wanted Elam with this pick. Great value pick, WashingtonD. I didn't feel another safety was worthy of this pick. Mainly because it is a very deep draft for safety, and I felt plenty quality safety's would be available in the 3rd. I considered a DE, as their are still a few quality DE's available. With Andre Smith still unsigned I felt OT was more important than DE. Watson is a great athlete, but needs to be coached up on technique. I think he has the potential to be a starter on either side for years to come.

ajh2
Seattle cannot believe the value they received in drafting OG Justin Pugh. The meanest offensive line line just got nastier. A smart and nasty blocker with excellent skills addressing a need for depth and talent. Excellent pass blocker who will keep Wilson upright while escorting Harvin on the edge in the running game. MorningMud
The reasons for my pick should be obvious. I think he is a good talent and my team may end up needing a young guy at DE.
