Shaft
We're on pace for approximately 40 receivers to break 1000 yards, 25 for 1200 yards, and Hopkins has a shot at 2,000 yards. These are some sick numbers, especially when you take into account the league's leading rusher (Forte) is only on pace for 1350 yards. ETA: Someone fix my typo in the topic and changes "seasons" to "season." LOL Edited October 22, 2015 by Shaft

byroz
teams are throwing the ball more than ever. look at rivers last week throwing almost 70 times and hitting 500 yards in one game. thats a lot of yardage combined with all the other qbs you should expect #s like those. it is awesome to see though. Valhalla
I predict at this pace, soon you'll see many leagues just running 1 RB and perhaps 4 WR's or 3 and a flex.
Zooty
and then it will get cold and wet outside. Numbers will tail off. I think last year also started on some crazy pace.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking unless for teams in the domes or nicer climates. So you still need those RBs for the fantasy playoffs. Yeah, in our 16 team league we have 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, and a flex.
keggerz
Yeah, in our 16 team league we have 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, and a flex. I'm in multiple 16 team leagues where you don't have to start a RB and can start up to 5 WRs.

I just feel you should be able to set your lineup like any NFL team would and most don't have two running backs in the backfield anymore. keggerz
that's a lil over the top imo In a 16 team league it allows for multiple strategies and devalues RBs. Otherwise the few teams that land the best RBs are at a huge advantage. And it goes without saying that these are also full IDP leagues.

Just don't think I could get on board with no rbs
gilthorp
My only dynasty is a 20 team starter and I do my best to kick Keg's ass since we've been in the same division since Day 1....Big John too. Without being able to go empty backfield with 2 TE's - I'd not be able to compete I think. Edited October 23, 2015 by gilthorp
Shaft
Do NFL rules require 1 RB minimum? No, that's my point, there are no requirements for backs, but in general you usually see one running back in the backfield. In other words, I don't see the point in starting two RBs in fantasy football when most football teams don't even have two backs in their backfield. DMD
Did the math on last year: Weeks-- PASS / COMP / PYDS / PTDS 1 to 4..-- 4487 / 2874 / 32704 / 212 5 to 8..-- 4523 / 2829 / 33173 / 221 9 to 12.-- 4457 / 2776 / 31739 / 200 13 to 16- 4382 / 2704 / 30965 / 170 It does decline in the last half of the year but mostly for TDs
MothAudio
Have to bring this up with the fellas - making one of the RB slots a flex position.
Shaft
Have to bring this up with the fellas - making one of the RB slots a flex position. That's what we did two years ago. It balanced our league out a lot, especially with 16 teams.

Shaft
I wouldn't play in a league where you don't have to start a RB. I don't even like the 1 RB rule. I think it depends on how many teams are in the league.
BA Baracus
I like the hyperactive format of no positional minimums, just a manureload of flex spots.
stevegrab
I like the hyperactive format of no positional minimums, just a tacoload of flex spots. I'm rolling with 4QB 2TE and 3K in that league. WINNING!
