Chief Dick
Larry Johnson is stupid enough and has a big enough ego to WANT to be on the cover.

Chief Dick
So, is Dee Brown the next great KC RB then? 1294355[/snapback] Let's hope not. Though I see KC drafting a RB at some point in the draft this year, probably in the mid rounds.
skylive5
I went with SSmith. My logic for that choice is that you would think that they would want an elite player who has a realistic chance of repeating a stellar season and also has a good time story rather than someone like Alexander who will probably change teams, only excels when playing a soft sked, and has only had one good year because of that sked or Barber who is getting a bit long in the tooth and has to be on the downhill slide. Roth, after he singlehandedly wins the SB over a totally inept team that shouldn't even be there, would be my second choice.
Guest THEbigred
They pick really popular players, so any D player other than maybe Urlacher is out. Big Ben has limited "marketability" for some reason IMO so I'd say SA - doubly so if the win the SB.
Mark5
Does Madden have a MAN CRUSH on LJ? I'm sure the old fat guy has SOME say-so in the coverguy
slickvick
Probably not a popular choice but I could see Eli getting that distinction next year.
TitansFan
It all depends on what they emphasize this year. Two years ago they revamped the defense, so they put Ray Lewis on the cover. Last year they retooled the quarterback and put Donovan McNabb on it. I have no idea what they will emphasize this year, but my guess would be the running game, so either Shaun Alexander or Larry Johnson. broncosn05
It will live on with Shawn on the cover.
Wolverines Fan
I think it will be Alexander. Although it wouldn't shock me if Steve Smith earned the (dis)honor.

Are you kidding me? Yes, this season he played above expectations but other then his rookie year he has never had less then 16 total TDs or 1600 total yards. That is pretty darn consistent. He can't do anything about the teams he plays against.

The Irish Doggy
The real question is will 2007 be worth buying or just another money-making rip-off scheme by EA?

I bought the 360 version, and though it was rushed and chopped down a bit feature-wise, the potential is there for an absolutely jaw-dropping game next year. I suppose I should come out with a thread that let's those that don't get it know I am just stating what is the view of Alexander and the 'Hawks here and that it is not my view. Maybe some sort of disclaimer when I say this stuff. This fishing stuff is fun.
