Wow, Weigie. It seems funny to say I remember when you got married, now you're a daddy. Congrats to you both. :D

I don't know what made me look at this thread. I was gonna let it pass by because it clearly didn't belong here.

Glad I looked. Congrats! :D

Thanks for all of the congratulations--I appreciate them. :D

Andrin still seems to be doing well and my wife is slowly recuperating and I still can't believe that I am a dad.

Saturday was both the happiest day and the scariest day of my life. I won't go into details, but for a brief time when my wife was in labor I thought there was a real chance that I might lose my child or my wife or both of them. I have never been so scared in my whole life and I hope I never feel that way again. It really really shook me up and even now as I am thinking back to it I am still feeling panicked and I almost can't believe that my wife and son are ok. About the only good thing coming out of the situation is that it makes me realize that each additional day that I get to spend with my wife and my son is a treasure of incomparable worth--and that makes me feel like the most fortunate man in the world.

Sounds scary Wiegie. I'm glad everything worked out and all is well :D As you may or may not know, my wife and I have been through the ringer in this area. Truly frightening in many ways. After my last son was born, we both decided no more as we couldn't handle that stress any longer.

Enjoy your son. Your life is forever changed for the better.
