It was 78 degrees at 9am in Seattle after an overnight low of 63.

Expected to get around a record 97 in the city, with outlying metro area hitting triple digits.

Personally, I'm sweating profusely.

Yeppers... 82 right now here in beautiful downtown Bremington.

I have a line that runs outside from a thermometer in my room and the line lies next to the siding... it reads 103 in direct sun. LOL

Metro Phoenix forecast

Wed 106 / 86

Fri 107 / 87

Sat 109 / 88

Sun 110 / 88

Cooling down a bit.

I'd much rather spend an afternoon in a dry 110 than a moist 97. :D

yup- I just moved from Seattle to Scotttsdale- even though Seattle is not humid compared to other cities- I guarantee 97 there today will feel MUCH hotter than 110 here. midwest/east coast/SE humidity- don't know how you all do it.

After all, it is a dry heat..............

In Florida last week it was hot, 95 pretty much everyday. I come home to low 90's and it felt like 120 degrees in MO.

I've never been way down south in the summer (or anytime for that matter). Are you saying the humidity is worse in the mid west?

102 in Portland yesterday. Supposed to get to 104 today. My dog is not amused.

I think that's been downgraded to the upper 90's now. We're getting a reprieve down here (89), after 101 yesterday. Actually, yesterday wasn't bad at all because of the low humidity.
