godtomsatan
It was 78 degrees at 9am in Seattle after an overnight low of 63. Expected to get around a record 97 in the city, with outlying metro area hitting triple digits. Personally, I'm sweating profusely.

darin3
It was a manageable 90-something in the southern Delaware and Ocean City, MD area on Monday. Tuesday in DC area was a sweltering 100+. Back here in Austin, it's in the upper 80's but feels hotter due to humidity.

I have a line that runs outside from a thermometer in my room and the line lies next to the siding... it reads 103 in direct sun. Ursa Majoris
My external shade thermometer has hit 100 twice so far this year and hit 96 pretty much every day for the last two weeks.

After all, it is a dry heat..............

I've never been way down south in the summer (or anytime for that matter). Are you saying the humidity is worse in the mid west?

wiegie
Winds are out of the north today and it's going to be in the mid-70s today with a few scattered clouds. (It's been in the upper 80s for much of the past week, so today is a very nice change)

Sam
yep I never would've guessed that. At least we get a break from it here. Upper 70's and low 80's and low humidity here most of this week. But heating back up this weekend.

Bill Swerski
102 in Portland yesterday. Supposed to get to 104 today. My dog is not amused. I think that's been downgraded to the upper 90's now. We're getting a reprieve down here (89), after 101 yesterday. Actually, yesterday wasn't bad at all because of the low humidity.
