Grits and Shins
Under Parcells they'd be lucky to be 1-2 at this point. Many of you argued that Dallas could NOT be a better team with the departure of Parcells and the entry of Wade Phillips. I give you the 3-0 Dallas Cowboys to refute your statement. Parcells could not have won 2 of the 3 games.
Doc Holliday
Cowboys look good....still early though..you know how it goes in that division..the team that starts out in last ends up in 1st and visa versa. that is a pretty even division as far as talent goes. But, I will give credit where credit is due. The Dallas Cowboys are a very good football team. Romo is sharp and has convinced me that he is the real deal. The defense is pretty good up front and the offensive line looks like they have geled together. If Philly bounces back like they did in '03 and McNabb has truely shaken the rust off as appeared this afternoon, it could be an interesting year in the NFC East. An impressive victory tonight against the Bears. Nice offensive showing.

I thought people only complained about me as of late... And yes, your cowboys are for real... I can't wait to see them play the Pats or my beloved packers. As a packers fan, I wish to thank the Dallas Cowboys for giving the Pack a 2 game lead on da spares. irish
The Boys have played great and Doc makes a good point that it's still early in the year. However, we still get to face- the Rams next week, Buffalo the week after. So we should be 5-0 heading into a BIG matchup against the Patriots who have to come to Dallas on Oct. 14th. Perchoutofwater
The Cowboys are for real! The offense is one of the top two or three in the league. On defense they look pretty tough against the run, but I still have some concerns about their secondary, though they have gotten better with each game. Hopefully Newman will be healthy and in his usual starting role by the time we face the Pats. I feel pretty confident that they will make the playoffs. They should be 5-0 going into the Pats game. I'm also encouraged that they have done all of this without Newman for the most part. I"m also looking forward to Tank Johnson coming on board. He should have some nice fresh legs for a playoff run. An impressive victory tonight against the Bears. Nice offensive showing. Anything an NFC east team does or has been doing goes right out the window when the old school NFC east rivals meet up..Dallas can be undefeated and looking like world beaters coming into Philly, NY or Wash but when those teams meet everyone (especially the fans) takes it up a notch. You would have to be a fool IMO to think Dallas is going to easily spank Philly or Wash especially on the road. When Dallas went 1-15 who was their only win against ? The Redskins... I am very happy with the way Dallas is playing..Romo has the tools and the intangibles..I have seen all I need to see out of him..I think the jury isnt out anymore..The guy is flat out good..I dont read much into that dropped snap at all..Last nights win was awesome..They pushed around a top ranked D..The east games will be a gritty battle as they always are ..It should be some great football to watch..Dallas needs to eliminate those costly penalties and still has some work on D but as of now you cant help but be very happy as a Cowboys fan. Scooby
agreed Hey, let's be a little more than mildly sanguine here. The Cowboys look great and are only improving on def without the help of 2 primary contributors. Don't fall into the trap, everyone is so ready to roll out the red carpet on the likes of the Patriots, Steelers, Colts (&GB) and never mention any shortcomings those teams might have. Be proud of our Boyz. I am, and yes, the Pats/Boyz meeting next month looks like a likely SB preview

Grits and Shins
Parcells was a great GM but the game had passed Parcells the coach by. He was a HoF coach decades before coming to Dallas but was ill equipped to deal with the current players and the current game. He was, however, a great evaluator of talent and IMO the reason the Cowboys had the success they did after his departure was because of the talent he put on the field. Wade has lost this team and couldn't coach them out of a wet paper bag.
