godtomsatan
Kinski. Totally dig the new record. Much more accessible than the Evol era Sonic Youth stuff they've been doing for most of their existence.

Brentastic
I need a few more albums to fill out an mp3 CD I'm putting together. I have like 4 albums I want to dump onto the CD, but I need some more. It must be a complete album. It must be something interesting, musically. It must also be highly listenable. I must be able to sing along with it in my car, loudly. No country. Country-inspired rock is a maybe. It must be something that you think I'd actually like I like: Radiohead, Phish, Jon Spencer, Dead, Ween, Nintendo soundtracks, Modest Mouse, Long walks on the beach, Pink Floyd, Jose Gonzales, Sufjan Stevens, Beer, John Frusciante, breakdancing, loud obnoxious noises not related to metal music, bad singers, David Byrne, and good singers. Go. I may mock you if you recommend crap. Ok, seriously, go. Have you heard the album Sung Tongs by Animal Collective? If not, you should go buy it right now (as you promised months ago). Animal Collective is a relatively new listen for me - a work buddy burned me their 'Strawberry Jam' LP. I just downloaded Sung Tongs tonight and this album is fantastic I give it -

gilthorp
Let me say that you have probably heard all of these before, but here's a few that I've recently downloaded. Sixty Six Steps by Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon...the cover of Sweet Emotion is pretty awesome. All This Everything by Perpetual Groove is mellow, but pretty cool. The Search by Son Volt is solid...I like it. Safety in Numbers by Umphrey's McGee is probably something you've already heard. Another Fine Day by Golden Smog...thanks for pointing out that this is partially ex-Jayhawks, Yuke.....Bushwacked, if you haven't heard this yet, you should give it a chance. Joe Ely's Live at Antone's is solid if you like that sort of thing. I like it. I would also recommend Behind the Levee by the Subdudes. It is very Brian Wilson inspired.

Here's the best I could find of his best tune ... but go listen to the full/studio version on iTunes. This guy is awesome.
