Ramhock
Hat's off to you, Fred, as you close in on 10K yards. The most ridiculed fantasy player EVER on any message board has had himself a VERY good career. Stat last night . . . of all the RBs with 7K+ rushing yards, Fred is the only one not to play in the Pro Bowl!! Wonder if these boards had anything to do with that? Thanx for the entertainment Fred! Big Score 1
The most ridiculed fantasy player EVER on any message board has had himself a VERY good career. Stat last night . . . of all the RBs with 7K+ rushing yards, Fred is the only one not to play in the Pro Bowl!! Anyone else notice a point here? Not only is Taylor dissed by fantasy football aficionados, but his peers also diss him. Poor guy is the Rodney Dangerfield of NFL RB's. No respect from the casual fan or professional football players.
Randall
Fred Taylor, The most bashed player in this board's existence! He is? I would thing Harrington or Aaron Brooks are bashed more, but I get your point. After his injuries early in his career he has done well and rarely gets picked high in drafts. Menudo
I've always liked Fred Taylor, and thought he got a bad rap with the 'fragile' thing. He has had a nice career.

Agreed...and the RBBC is allowing him to stay healthy and fresh at this stage of his career...he could play several more seasons and be productive. michaeljordan ca
I especially applaud him after last night's performance. I was up 12 with my opponent having only Fred Taylor to play, and guess what? Freddy kept me on the win column. Monday Salute Fred! and thanks for playing..... Ziachild007
I've alway liked Freddy T. But looking at some of the other names on that list and seeing most only make it to 2-3 Pro Bowls I guess it shouldn't be that surprising. THis one kinda surprised me a little: John Rigins - 11352 - 1-time Pro Bowler: 1975 (wasn't even his best season) And you have to think of some of the names that were chosen over Freddy too: 1998: | Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TDTerrell Davis - 1998 den | 16 | 392 2008 5.1 21 | 25 217 8.7 2Marshall Faulk - 1998 ind | 16 | 324 1319 4.1 6 | 86 908 10.6 4 Eddie George - 1998 ten | 16 | 348 1294 3.7 5 | 37 310 8.4 1 Curtis Martin - 1998 nyj | 15 | 369 1287 3.5 8 | 43 365 8.5 1 Fred Taylor - 1998 jax | 15 | 264 1223 4.6 14 | 44 421 9.6 3 2000 | Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TDCorey Dillon - 2000 cin | 16 | 315 1435 4.6 7 | 18 158 8.8 0 Eddie George - 2000 ten | 16 | 403 1509 3.7 14 | 50 453 9.1 2 Edgerrin James - 2000 ind | 16 | 387 1709 4.4 13 | 63 594 9.4 5 Fred Taylor - 2000 jax | 13 | 292 1399 4.8 12 | 36 240 6.7 2 2002 | Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TDTravis Henry - 2002 buf | 16 | 325 1438 4.4 13 | 43 309 7.2 1Priest Holmes - 2002 kan | 14 | 313 1615 5.2 21 | 70 672 9.6 3LaDainian Tomlinson - 2002 sdg | 16 | 372 1683 4.5 14 | 79 489 6.2 1Ricky Williams - 2002 mia | 16 | 383 1853 4.8 16 | 47 363 7.7 1Fred Taylor - 2002 jax | 16 | 287 1314 4.6 8 | 49 408 8.3 0 2003 | Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TDPriest Holmes - 2003 kan | 16 | 320 1420 4.4 27 | 74 690 9.3 0 Clinton Portis - 2003 den | 13 | 290 1591 5.5 14 | 38 314 8.3 0Jamal Lewis - 2003 bal | 16 | 387 2066 5.3 14 | 26 205 7.9 0Fred Taylor - 2003 jax | 16 | 345 1572 4.6 6 | 48 370 7.7 1 2004 | Year TM | G | Att Yards Y/A TD | Rec Yards Y/R TDJerome Bettis - 2004 pit | 15 | 250 941 3.8 13 | 6 46 7.7 0Corey Dillon - 2004 nwe | 15 | 345 1635 4.7 12 | 15 103 6.9 1Edgerrin James - 2004 ind | 16 | 334 1548 4.6 9 | 51 483 9.5 0Curtis Martin - 2004 nyj | 16 | 371 1697 4.6 12 | 41 245 6.0 2LaDainian Tomlinson - 2004 sdg | 15 | 339 1335 3.9 17 | 53 441 8.3 1Rudi Johnson - 2004 cin | 16 | 361 1454 4.0 12 | 15 84 5.6 0Fred Taylor - 2004 jax | 14 | 260 1224 4.7 2 | 36 345 9.6
Seahawks21
I personally believe Fred has had the prettiest running style in the game to watch over the last ten years. His running style is so fluid, yet he runs with a lot of power and explosiveness. He is the perfect blend of size, speed, and agility, and he flat out runs his butt off. He really is one of the best between the 20's.

At one point in the game, Taylor broke through to the secondary and was one on one with guess who at about the 20 yard line? Ole' Fred didn't juke, didn't cut, what did he do? He ran straight through and over Mr. Doss and left him crumpled in a heap at the 20 yard line and ran backwards into the endzone as if to say, "Care to repeat that!" One of the most amazing and satisfying runs I have ever seen a player make...
Scooby
Not counting this yr (cuz he's now pretty much washed-up), Warrick Dunn was the most underservingly-trashed FF player on these boards.

And it was Taylor who caused the media ruckus because he said that Doss said something to the effect of "you forgot something" after that strip. What I knew was Taylor was upset at some of Doss' comments, and made him pay dearly for it. I've been searching for the vid and now that I think about it, it may have been in 03--making the search difficult...
