whomper
I get up this morning with no alarm clock at 6:40. I am usually in the shower by 6:30 to be on time for work. So I spring out of bed wondering why I never set my alarm . Shave ,get my towel and wash rag and turn the water on only to realize it is saturday Have you ever done that and have far did you get until you realized it was the weekend and you had no work ? You wash in the creek? That sounds so gross to me, "wash rag".

Like a retired (which I am) fire horse who hears the bell and wants to charge to the fire, it happened to me the first month or so after I retired! And I still have dreams where I'm still working w/ this one dooschbag and arguing w/ him to no avail.

jaxfactor
With me it's the opposite. I get up on the very rare occasion thinking it's Sunday or my day off and realize I have to go to work and I'm late as chit.
Puddy
I remember when I was a teenager, I dozed off in the afternoon and woke up and the clock said like 6:30 or 7:00. I went and made me some breakfast and got my grub on. My dad walks in from the garage looking like he just finished working on a car. I was shocked he was up and working so early. Needless to say I wasn't very hungry at dinner time.
TDFFFreak
If I didn't have an alarm clock set, I'd be screwed. My daughter wakes me up most days, but I am notoriously awful at waking up in the morning.
seminoles
I've done something similar before. After a school day when track had already ended and I had about two weeks left of school, I came home at about 4 and took a nap. I woke up at about 6:15 p.m and thought that I had slept til next morning (since the sun was still out and all). So I frantically get ready and head out the door and make it all the way to school until I realize that it was night instead of day

Puddy
Crazy thing is my father was a licensed mechanic and made his living that way for many years. And my oldest brother has been a mechanic his whole life (wrenches on school buses now). That's why I didn't need to learn. I just leverage their skills. Kid Cid
Since I normally roll out of bed around 8:30, I pretty much am on the same schedule no matter what day it is.

He did the same thing.

Must have been something in the air this morning. I woke up at 6:30 today and was pissed b/c I thought I was gonna be late for work. After a few minutes I realized it was Saturday. That's an awesome feeling too when you can roll over and go back to sleep.

AtomicCEO
I slept in until 8:30. The last dream I was having, I was at a wedding with Tina Fey as my date, and we were joking around at the table with Will Ferrell and there was a lot of physical humor. I woke myself up laughing. It was a good start to the day.
SheikYerbuti
Have you ever done that and have far did you get until you realized it was the weekend and you had no work ? Far. I got to work, punched in, and was told "Uh, you're not in today. . .go home". Of course, working in the casino industry isn't a Monday-Friday thing. At the time I often had a changing schedule.
