Puddy
Apparently they have a staff of cy young contenders. Weren't the Tigers supposed to be better at the plate than the '27 Yankees.
whomper
Apparently they have a staff of cy young contenders. Weren't the Tigers supposed to be better at the plate than the '27 Yankees. Cabrera is tweaked and I heard sheff torn a tendon in his finger or something like that.. Gary Sheffield, DH DET News: Gary Sheffield tore a tendon in his ring finger in Detroit's 4-1 loss to Kansas City on Thursday, trying unsuccessfully to stretch a single into a double in the eighth inning. "He would have not been able to hit if we came around to him in the ninth," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said. "I don't know how serious it was, but he couldn't bend it." Sheffield said he would try to play through the injury, but he wouldn't know his status until the swelling subsided. Analysis: Sheffield has to be in serious doubt for the weekend series at this point and still might even be a DL candidate. Track his progress through the weekend before you consider him a viable option for Fantasy Week 2 (April 7-13).
