Perchoutofwater
Don McLean - American Pie +1 the only one named so far that I know all the words to, and I couldn't tell you another song he sang without cheating.

I would say that Vincent is the only other one that came close to being a hit. Though I prefer Winterwood to anything else he did.
cre8tiff
I have to agree with Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky". Although "Stuck in the Middle" by Stealer Wheels is a personal favorite of mine. "One Tin Soldier" is pretty darn good too. Coven, I think, right? skylive5
"One Tin Soldier" is pretty darn good too. Coven, I think, right? correct. Well... partially. The version I have is the original from 1969 by Original Caste. And the one that everyone hears now days, though attributed to Coven, is actually sung just by Jinx Dawson...not the whole group. That one is the one in the movie in 1971.

What say you? Gerry Rafferty had a couple decent songs. I have his greatest hits CD and have heard several of the songs on the radio.
