darin3
4.5 - Rum ball.... good lord that sucka was strong OK, so the Sam Adams Irish Red is pretty darn good as it goes down and initial aftertaste. But the lingering aftertaste is a little too bitter for me. Still a drinkable beer.

darin3
Some words to describe Miller Lite on Beer Advocate: skunk, very light in the taste department, watery, piss-yellow, tastes like cardboard...

Puddy
those thimbles go down fast, don't they? This 1888 Bock is pretty good. I've become a fan of the Leini brand.
wiegie
Here is my dilemma--tomorrow is the semi-annual half-off sale at the bargain bookstore. In no way do I want to be too hungover when I go there in the morning. (And in case any of you don't know me well-enough by now, I'm not joking.) darin3
This 1888 Bock is pretty good. I've become a fan of the Leini brand. Their Sunset Wheat is probably one of my favorite beers. I don't know how it got only a B- on Beer Advocate (which is like The Huddle for beer). I cannot WAIT till spring/summer so I can start hammering these bad boys. I highly recommend picking some up for these seasons.

darin3
1 pint of Boddington's First try...very much a "meh"... I never really got Boddingtons. There are so many better brews from the British Isles. FWIW, Beer Advocate doesn't rate it very high, either... so it's not just you. Apparently it's one of those beers that is way different on tap than it is out of the can (assuming this is how you poured).
