I then moved there and have never met a more friendly, helpful group of people (read: never ran in to any Texas bravado). I've lived in 10 different states in all parts of the country and by far my favorite place is Texas. With that said, I think it is ridiculous that anyone even mentions secession or revolution. We are the US, keep it that way. If we wanna take care of some of our border issues, lets just take down south to around Panama where it is only about 100 miles across. IF they seceed, do you move to be closer to family ... move there for some other reason ... or stay where you're at (possibly thumbing your nose at TX and Texans in the process)? Think of the oil reserves (and do you really think Texans would blink on drilling of the coast? Think of the port of Houston, and all the refineries.
