TimC
Anyone going to see it? It looks badass. Trailer looks cool. Looks almost like a horror movie/Alien Nation type movie. 97% from Rotten Tomatoes. Consensus: Technically brilliant and socially poignant, District 9 has action, imagination, and all the elements of a thoroughly entertaining science-fiction classic. Square
It looks good. I don't know if I'll catch it in theaters, but I'll grab this at some point. Seems like well done sci-fi action is becoming a bit rare.
TDFFFreak
I'm all over this film. Getting good reviews and mixes FX with a good story according to several reviews.

Retrograde assault
Preview look awesome, don't really know anything about it but it looks cool. Probably rent it if it turns out not to be a stinker. Edited August 14, 2009 by Retrograde assault
Chavez
I heard this started as a movie remake of Hogan's Heroes... but then Peter Jackson got crazy. True story - there was this WW II POW movie starring Bruce Willis called Hart's War. The Mrs and I were at the theater and the preview started rolling and she was like "what the hell is this?" I told her they were making a Hogan's Heroes movie and she totally believed me, hilarity ensued. That might have been the high point of my life so far. TDFFFreak
I saw this tonight. Good, but not as great as some would have you believe. You see almost all of the big action shots in the trailer, but I give points for what qualifies as an original story in this day and age. It gets a B from me. polksalet
3/10 at best. SOme of the most incredible plot holes I can imagine.
MrTed46
I give it a B+, its VERY VERY science fiction so if you go in there and say that can't happen...you shouldn't be in there. Well done and very enjoyable but I like those types of movies. The theatre was mixed with people hating it and loving it.
SLAYER
I give it an A-. very original and good story line, the possibilities for sequels is limitless if they so choose
