Lucky11
Is that the one used in the climactic graveyard scene? If so, plus millions. indeed.
Azazello1313
"Ectasy of Gold" - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly those movies would not be half of what they are without ennio morricone's scores. to me, the scores are the true stars of those leone/eastwood westerns. but still, music written FOR the movie seems to be cheating for this thread. of course a song written for a movie is going to be associated with that movie. as long as we're going that route though, bernard herrmann's score for taxi driver is amazing. Ursa Majoris
those movies would not be half of what they are without ennio morricone's scores. to me, the scores are the true stars of those leone/eastwood westerns. The MNF show used part of the Good, Bad & Ugly graveyard score on Monday and I immediately connected it with Eastwood, Van Cleef and Wallach's awesome scene. It goes on for about five straight minutes and IMO is the best use of music in the entire history of film.

PPIchamp
Don't want to miss a thing - Aerosmith. Armageddon. Terrible song and an almost equally terrible movie, but when I hear that song I think of the movie, then I make a bee-line to the stereo and change the station. Opening guitar sequence of Sunshine of your love, Cream. Goodfellas! Edited September 30, 2010 by PPIchamp

Azazello1313
Opening guitar sequence of Sunshine of your love, Cream. Goodfellas! 1) it's primarily on piano, 2) it's an exit (or coda), not an opening sequence, and 3) it's from layla, not sunshine of your love. oh and it's already been mentioned. other than that, good call!
