michaelredd9
James Conner (ankle) ruled out for Week 14 http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/387111/james-conner-(ankle)-ruled-out-for-week-14?ls=roto:PIT:topheadlines Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said James Conner (ankle) will not play Week 14 against the Raiders. The Steelers initially believed Conner was only dealing with a contusion, but further tests revealed a sprain. There is some belief he is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which would cause him to miss multiple games. Jaylen Samuels should take over as the starter with Stevan Ridley behind him on the depth chart. Samuels is now the top add for the week. michaelredd9
Jaylen Samuels will be a ppr monster. He had 75 receptions last year as a tight end/fullback/H-Back/gadget player. He is worth 100% of your remaining FAAB. Edited December 4, 2018 by michaelredd9
stevegrab
Paging the Baltimore Ravens, your playoff window is being propped open.... of course PIT plays the woeful Raiders so they could probably win with Pee Wee Herman at RB.

I still think he'll be a ppr monster even in a RBBC. Jeff Wilson could be a better pickup depending on how bad Breida's injury is. Mike Tomlin says 'intention' is to use RBBC http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/387113/mike-tomlin-says-intention-is-to-use-rbbc?ls=roto:PIT:topheadlines Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said the Steelers' "intention" is to use a running back by committee. This makes sense considering Jaylen Samuels has 12 career carries to his name and Stevan Ridley has carried the load before, most recently Week 17 of last season. Even so, Samuels is the better fantasy bet and the top waiver add of the week. Wolverines Fan
Samuels has caught two touchdown passes, but he's averaging 2.6 ypc. http://www.nfl.com/player/jaylensamuels/2560862/gamelogs Edited December 4, 2018 by Wolverines Fan

And was very much in pain clutching his lower leg.
michaelredd9
I believe Samuels getting the start is significant. Usually an early down specialist who is a veteran would get the start over a receiving back who is a rookie. Since neither is good at running the ball, I bet Samuels gets 6-10 receptions. Samuels to start for PIT, but will split work http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/387160/samuels-to-start-for-pit-but-will-split-work?ls=roto:PIT:topheadlines Jaylen Samuels said he'll be the Steelers' starting running back Week 14 against the Raiders. While Samuels will make the start, he said Stevan Ridley is expected to get the second series, and the two backs will rotate throughout the game. That may be the plan for now, but it can change Sunday depending on how Samuels and Ridley look. We still like Samuels as an upside RB2 play. Henry Muto
Good bye dreams of another big check as Conner was the key late draft pick in a perfect start first 4 rounds of my draft that had me in 3rd place overall regular season finish (1940 teams) in the NFFC cutline event. I started off by drafting Hopkins, Melvin Gordon, Thielen, Hill and picked Conner in round 23. At this point in the contest they cut teams every week and I need to make the top 60 out of the remaining 110 teams to advance but without my 2 stud RB's it will be very tough. Sounds like Gordon might be back for week 15 but I highly doubt Conner plays again in the fantasy playoffs weeks 14-16 sounds like he has a high ankle sprain. Fantasy football is one cruel mistress. SNOWBOUND33
And I cut Samuel's last week over Jordan Howard because I was trying to be practical about keeping a "starter". Lmao. Bitch of a season. (Again!)

loaf
Weeks ago I started loading up on the handcuffs (or who I thought they'd be) in my leagues where rosters space would allow. Samuels was one of my first grabs.
gilthorp
I drafted both kids from NC State in my dynasty so I would love to see him solidify a points producing role in this offense for the future.

GreatbigBritish
Hey fellas. Can anyone offer insight on jaylen Samuels and his multi-position. I was lucky enough to pluck him from waivers. If i slot him in his RB pos does he loose his TE points or vise verse. I figure he has higher upside in TE. My First season in a yahoo league and abit unclear on multiposition players. Thx

So if for instance you had a 5 point bonus for 100 yards rushing as an RB, if he was started as a TE you would not see that bonus. Only some type of weird bonus like that could make me consider not putting him in the TE slot though. Generally rushing, receiving, and touchdown scoring is the same across RB/WR/TE and in some PPR leagues TE even get more per reception which would make him a very appealing TE play. darin3
Yeah I jumped on Samuels in a Yahoo league. Having TE eligibility is hugh. I am playing him - with a fair amount of confidence I might add - over Jordan Reed. That said, I'm bummed I lost Conner in a league where I could certainly use him. Given the flexibility of lineups there I am plugging Landry in.

Personally Id use him over everybody other than Kelce or Ertz.
