Between the two I'll take the steelers...

 

I'd like to see the Bus go out on top ((unlike my boy Danny))

 

...and the Wenches second favorate team is the Steelers as she was brought up in Pburg.

Seattle because:

 

1 -- I'm sick of hearing how much better the AFC is than the NFC

 

2 -- Shaun carried me to a FF Championship so I'm a fan.

 

3 -- Have liked Hass for a few years now.

 

4 -- I usually like cheering for underdogs in games where my team is not involved. Not sure why Seattle is an underdog since they were the #1 seed...but I guess thats even more of a reason for me to cheer for them.

 

5 -- Come to think of it...I'm going to put money on Seattle as well so there's reason #5.

Menudo aside, I'm going to root for the Steelers. Here are my reasons:

 

(1) Jerome Bettis - A class act and fantastic representative of the game who needs a ring to become a lock for Canton.

 

(2) Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, Bill Cowher - Great competitors and great individuals off of the field. I can't help but like them.

 

(3) Dick LeBeau's defense - I LOVE aggressive, hard-hitting defenses.

 

(4) The Steelers played a much tougher regular-season schedule than the Seahawks. They got into the playoffs as a Wild Card and kicked the crap out of three of the best teams in football on the road. To say that they've earned my respect is an understatement.

Was born and raised here- remember Jeff Kemp days in the Kindome. Was fortunate enough to have a good friend who's dad was an Asst. coach- got to go see alot of practices and games up close.

 

Have quite a bit of $$$ on Sea +4

 

Sick of all the Roth/Fridge/Steeler nut-fest that is going on

 

Because my title-starved JV sports town F ing Needs this!!

I am not positive.... and not sure it is a real sport.... but believe the Sonics won an NBA title. I think.

 

And the other Pro Football team in the area won the National Championship awhile back too.

Seattle for a few reasons:

 

- always liked the Hawks back in the Zorn/Krieg/Warner/Largent/John L Williams/Chuck Knox days.

 

- never begrudged Holmgren on his move from GB to Seattle, wouldn't mind seeing him do well

 

- of current Seattle players, I've always liked Hasselbecks moxie, and have man-lust for Darrell Jackson and Lofa Tatupu

 

- I had the opportunity to visit Seattle, and I have to say it's absolutely one of my favorite cities

 

Of course, I don't have any negative feelings toward the Steelers like some here - I'd root for them in this game against probably 12 or 13 of the other NFC teams.
